Try setting trigger to high, or very high.
thank you!

setting trigger to very high did the trick and i was able to breathe much more normally.

actually got some sleep.

yay!
In essence, setting the trigger higher encourages the machine to help you more, with less effort on your part.

Re: Resvent ibreeze

Made in CHINA--need we say more? Probably not pre-infected; but why gamble? So's your ipad. Made in China doesn't automatically mean garbage. Some is, some isn't. Just like "Made in the USA" doesn't mean quality, because there are shoddy manufacturing standards and "I don't care" workers here too.

Re: zonker therapy thread redux: vauto is coming

in the end, after much futzing around, i set back to vauto mode with ipap at 25 and epap at 16.4. i have the cycle set at medium. and i have the trigger set at very low. this felt much better. i was able to breathe naturally and much more peacefully. Those aren't your settings. now, i see in my ear...

Re: zonker therapy thread redux: vauto is coming

Palerider will correct me if I am wrong but I think that in Auto mode Easy Breathe is on by default and you can't turn it off. In S mode you can turn Easy Breathe setting off or on...and when it is off additional parameters are offering to change the timing of things. Never used it though so zero h...

Re: zonker therapy thread redux: vauto is coming

The reason I asked about VAuto mode is that if you're in VAuto, then the machine is set to 'Easy Breathe" mode, where the time it takes for the machine to raise up to full IPAP varies depending on how you're breathing, whereas when Easy Breathe is off, you can manually adjust the rise time (time it...

Re: zonker therapy thread redux: vauto is coming

oy. not sure i'm grasping this. but i feel i should have my trigger to very low. not at all sure about cycle, but will try different settings there before i go to bed. yup definitely in vauto mode. So, if your trigger is very low, then you have to inhale more before the machine says "ah, I shall ra...

I need one of those.

was thinking the same thing. in our household, it's a running gag. my wife will stroke her chin and say"a wife...a wife...THAT'S what i need! a wife!"
Get her one for her birthday?

Re: zonker therapy thread redux: vauto is coming

changed trigger and it really didn't offer much relief. i was using medium setting last night. very low doesn't seem that much better. is there another setting i should try? i see "cycle" has some gradients to it. "Trigger" is how sensitive the machine is to the start of your inhalation, the higher...

Re: new machine

I had a new sleep study and just got a new resmed airsense 10 auto. This will replace a new airsense 10 auto that I purchased in Sep. 2021. Planning on using it for my backup. Since this is the same machine but with a different SN do I need to change anything on Oscar? My pressure setting on my old...

Re: zonker therapy thread redux: vauto is coming

PS is NOT EPR. Yes, it's the opposite of EPR. i used to describe my breathing on the "for her" as like tiny sips of air that i could feel coming into my nose almost like a curving from the bottom of my pillow mask. with the vauto, this feeling is different. not sure how to explain. the incoming air...

Re: Leak Calculation

I am having a discussion with someone about leaks...Is the exhaust from the mask considered in the leak calculation? If so, how? Depends on the machine. Respironics, no. others, not sure. Resmed, yes. I've watched the VPAP Auto's display when first turning the machine on and the displayed leak vari...

The sleep industry looks kind of like a giant scam.
No more than anything else in the US "medical industry".
