Re: Changing BiPAP Settings

What is happening to cause the breaks in therapy? A need to urinate? Getting up for some other reason? Or?? Thanks for everyone's input. Initially, I would wake feeling breathless and I wondered if my mitral valve issue was a possible cause. My cardiologist says no and he's the expert. I'm going to...

Re: Changing BiPAP Settings

Hello All I've attached three different nights. The one from August is a good one. In the others you can see the broken nights sleep though it's not the worst. Is there a graph I should have included? EDIT: Based on what Pale Rider said in another thread, I've raised the EPAP to 11.0, set the IPAP ...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Hello PR. It's been quite a while since I've posted and I've started a thread because I've been having issues, one of them being a feeling of breathlessness. The first sentence you wrote that I've bolded may just have provided a large part of the answer to my issues so thank you. BUT the op here do...

When would central apnea be deemed a serious problem?
Whenever you're having so many of them that it starts causing oxygen desaturations.

Re: Advice/Guidance on my journey back into CPAP

, as I'm a very "violent" sleeper, (I toss/turn/kick/squirm/roll/fall off the bed/etc). You may find that stops when you're adequately treated. I'm in the process of helping a friend who just thought she snored, however she'd manage to turn her blankets 90 degrees in the middle of the night, as she...

I think even if it were silent though that the nasal pillows are not for me. I don't really like having something going up my nose.
It's academic at this point since you're returning it, but the pillows shouldn't go up your nose, they should just rest on the rim of your nostrils.

Re: Tips for improvement? Potentially Central Apnea?

How's your sleep quality in general? Wake up during the night very often? Toss and turn a lot? Takes any medications? If so what? Exactly what symptoms are you having that you haven't seen any improvement on and want to see reduced? My sleep quality has never been well. I am an extremely light slee...

P10's, because of the strap design, kind of have a love hate relationship,
I've been using the P30 strap for a while now, I like it.

Re: Tips for improvement? Potentially Central Apnea?

I know, an actual sleep study and titration would be ideal, Ideal for the profitability of the sleep lab... it's debatable whether it's ideal for the patient. Is it possible that I have Central Apnea and need a BiPAP instead? Nobody needs a "bipap", the company that makes those has recalled all of ...

Re: Airfit P10 Extremely Noisy

Hello, I am trying to switch to a nasal mask since the full face mask often bothers me. I purchased the airfit P10 for her nasal pillows, and attempted to use it. I found that it was extremely noisy, which surprised me, because many of the reviews for it said it was extremely quiet. The P10 isn't e...

I see, ty. I don't really think that we need data collection or auto adjust. We need 5-6 cm constant pressure to oxy supppy and that's all. Hope I'm not wrong
If that's all you need, then why don't you just use a cannula?

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

I am at a kindergarten level of understanding all of this and I have been reading about it for a couple of hrs a day since I was diagnosed on 9/14. So bear with me with this question. From the reading I have gotten the impression that the "goal" if that is what one could call it is to find a narrow...
