Sore spot on the bridge of my nose

Does anyone else's mask cause a sore spot on the bridge of your nose? What do you do to solve this problem?

Condensation in mask

I've had to turn up the humidifier because my mouth was a desert after a few hours with the cpap on. The problem now is that I get condensation in my mask which is annoying. I have a Respironics Comfort Gel mask. I just got a chin strap to keep my mouth closed which seems to help with the dry mouth....

Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the DME. I didn't anticipate this problem, so I didn't ask my doctor. I guess I'll call Monday and find out. I leave town on Wednesday so I'd like to have this resolved before then. Thanks for the help!!

Thanks Ted. What a great name, isn't it? My doctor insisted that I go through a DME to get my machine. His logic was that it wasn't costing me anything, so why not? He said if I was paying out of pocket, it would be worth it to go online. Sounds like the insurance companies are getting ripped off. I...

Do you need a prescription to buy a mask?

My doctor prescribed the Respironics comfort gel mask which I will try when I get my machine. I've read so much about the Activa mask that I would like to try that one if the Respironics mask doesn't work well. I would just like to buy it without going back to my doctor if possible.

Ever watch David Letterman's stupid human tricks? People can actually squirt milk out their tear ducts. It isn't unheard of and I'm sure you experienced a similar thing only with air!

I have my test results

My doctor says I have mild to moderate OSA. He recommends that I use a cpap with cflex for 4 to 6 weeks to see if I notice any improvement. I have a copy of my results but don't know what to post that would be considered important. Ask and I'll post. My doctor was very helpful but I still have a few...

Thanks for the answers. The auto-pap vs. bi-pap issue makes much more sense now. Getting my test results will go a long way towards helping me decide which machine is best for me.

In reading the info on cpap.com and here, I'm confused about one thing in particular. Auto-pap vs. bi-pap. It is my understanding that bi-pap (or more generally, bi-level), provides two different pressure levels: a higher one for inhalation and a lower one for exhalation. Auto-pap adjusts the pressu...
