Re: Anyone on here have Restless Leg Syndrome?
Although given the timing of PLMs (~25 second interval) one can easily argue that circulation plays a role in there as well. Can you please explain the connection between the timing of PLMs and circulation? I've heard it said that circulation could play a role but never knew the explanation. Kathy ...

Re: Requip - Not a Promising Start
I appreciate your sharing this information, Rebecca. I don't think you have any clue how validating it is, for me, to hear that somebody else had problems with Requip. The way that doctor spoke to me (not MY doctor, but the one that called on his behalf) had me believing that I am truly insane. It ...

Re: Requip - Not a Promising Start
My neurologist feels that taking Requip for the leg movements is a sensible thing to try and I started it tonight. This is NOT starting out well in that within an hour of taking it, I was having hot/cold flashes (back and forth driving me crazy), increased thigh pain on my left side (my preferred s...

Re: I woke up and my machine was off....again
I had to return my S8 for turning off by itself. I thought I was turning it off in my sleep for almost a year, and then caught it one day while I was awake. I brought it back to a different DME and ResMed instructed them to replace it with a new S9.

Re: Can I have my own thread?
Not to gross anyone out, but did it turn into something like swollen pimple with a head? Been there! That is what I had the first go around with pillows about 1.75 years ago, and it turned into a major sore that was extremely visible, painful, and stuck around for a long time. When I saw these were...

Re: Can I have my own thread?
Bactroban is stronger than polysporin isn't it? I don't know, but Bactroban is prescription, so possibly (I'm using generic mupirocin). Since then I have used it as soon as it starts to get painful and it clears up within one day. I am talking about sores on the inside of my nose, not the outside. ...

Re: Can I have my own thread?
SU, what size mask do you usually use? Like what size is that Activa LT?. What are you using in your nose to heal it? In the Activa LT I'm using a Medium. In the Swift LT, I am using a Small, and in the Swift FX, I am using a Medium. I am putting Bactroban on the sores. When I had problems with nos...

Re: Expert Interview: Dr. Avram Gold
Also, he told me that my Spontaneous Arousal Index of about 9 was actually below normal (15-20 is normal for my age group according to him--he even pulled up a scientific study onscreen to show me) and that I have great sleep on cpap and should just let it be and continue where I am. My doc always ...

The other info that software tracks can be just as relevant as the AHI. Leaks lines for instance can be instrumental in problem solving.

Re: What do the "Events" numbers mean?
In the detailed ResMed log, the events show up as bars with a number in a box above them. What exactly do those numbers mean? Mine from last night all averaged between 10 and 18, and in the summary sheet it said that I had an apnea index of 2.1 and an AHI of 2.1. The numbers indicate the length, in...

Re: Help!!! Clueless about Flow Limitations
Sleeping Ugly, If I'm not mistaken, I've noticed a number of times when you've posted flow limitation graphs that your legend and readings are inverse from mine. In other words, it looks like flat across the top is correct for your layout. I'm not sure I understand how that can be, but your sine wa...
