Re: Darn it. This has GOT to stop.
ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! Still no machine, yet. But, I'm sitting here at work trying not to dose again !!! Darn it all! This is horrible! I NEED SLEEP!!! Well, not to worry you, but even with my machine, I'm having trouble staying awake. I think it probably has something to do with not getting 8 hour...

Re: Hee Hee. I feel like I got away with something!
Thanks for the positive input to those I haven't already thanked - Brenda, Ricochet, slinky, and provider. You guys are great. Provider, I agree wholeheartedly that the next step would be to confidently inform the doctor about what I've done and why & to then enlist his help. But, at this point in ...

Re: When the Electricity Goes Out
I think I'd rather have a battery that doesn't beep... Seems counterintuitive to keep the unit running if the beeping wakes you up... xPAPs are for sleeping, not being awake.

Re: Darn it. This has GOT to stop.
I'm sitting here at work, and I just fell asleep. I cannot keep doing this; I'm not going to have a job if I do this. As I mentioned in another thread, I'm new to the whole SA world. So, I don't have a machine, yet. I just did the 2nd half of my study this past weekend. But, I'm convinced that this...

Re: Where Do You Place Your Machine?
I place mine on a pedestal made of ivory and inlaid with intricate patterns of gold and silver. I use triple-distilled water from the hills of Napa Valley. I bathe it with the finest Venesian hand soaps, and rest it on a towel of the softest Egyptian Cotton.

Re: Questions to ask the doctor
A few things: You want a copy of your sleep study results. You want a Rx for a fully data capable machine. You want a copy of the Rx. Add that you want an APAP so you can easily change the type of therapy if needed, without having to worry about changing machines and such, unless your study indicat...

Re: When the Electricity Goes Out
Get a power outage alarm! They work like a charm, mine's gone off several times since I bought it. It also works like a flashlight so I don't fall over something on my way to the kitchen to call the power company and make some hot cocoa while I sit up waiting for the power to be restored. When I am...

Re: Covidien Cleans House
And I was hoping that if I got a new Covidien xPAP, it would do my housework, too. Well, I heard Roomba's making a combination robotic vacuum/APAP... it goes around cleaning during the day, dumps its chamber, charges up, then at night moves to your bed-side where you can fill the chamber with water...

Re: Hee Hee. I feel like I got away with something!
I already have my answer planned when my doc notices I've been playing with the pressures. It's a very simple answer. Straight-forward and to the point, and sums up the precepts and values held by, hopefully, everyone on this forum...

Re: Cheyne Stokes Breathing Pattern
I asked him his opinon on something with my sleep study when I first had it done and he told me, "I don't comment on test results for tests that weren't ordered by me". My family doctor seems to be the one who is the most willing to help me with these issues, I'm thinking because she doesn't consid...

Re: Cheyne Stokes Breathing Pattern
I will continue to try and find a doctor that reads data. I started to do that when I first found out that my doctor didn't but quit when I was able to get into my machine and get the data myself. Oh, and my cardiologist. I asked him his opinon on something with my sleep study when I first had it d...
