Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I made a big mistake and hope I won’t have to start at “square one”. I have an dream station1 and system one cpap machines. I registered them both last June and got confirmation numbers for each one. I checked the Philips portal when it first started for both machines. One confirmation number said i...

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Thanks for the response. I have been getting masks and supplies through Medicare so I should be okay with that.

Re: Phillips / Philips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
I have read conflicting information regarding Medicare payments for a new APAP. My machine is less than 5 years old, but was bought buy my older insurance, not Medicare. I was told that Medicare will pay for the machine if I have notes and prescription from sleep doctor within the past year (which I...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread
Will Medicare cover the cost of a new machine. My old one is less than 5 years old, but was bought before I was on Medicare. I am currently using a borrowed Fisher and Paykel ICON APAP which is working “okay” but not as comfortable as my Dreamstation.

System1 heated hose versus heated Aussie hose
I had the Aussie hose for 3 years and loved it. It stopped working. I could feel the warmth from this hose upon touching it. The hose on the System 1 never feels warm to the touch. I am wondering if it is defective or just does not get as warm as the Aussie?

Respironics M series Auto beeps when turned off
Several times my machine will beep continuously with lights flashing when I turn it off. I have to unplug it to make it stop. It seems to be working fine. I am wondering why this is happening.

Swift FX and auto pressures
Just curious if anyone know the answer to this. Since July, 2009 my auto pressure 90% has been consistently between 9 and 10 using the Swift LT. Just switched to the Swift FX and my pressure is at 12. My AHI is about the same and leak rate is actually less with the FX.

Re: New Swift FX
I love the Swift FX - much quieter, more comfortable, no leaks
The only thing I don't like is the strap covers that come with it. I like the feel of the fleece covers that are for the Swift FX better. I also have more marks on my face in the morning with the FX covers.

Re: Nasal pillows for side sleepers?
I am a committed side/stomach sleeper currently using Swift LT and some sort of "gel" pillow from Target. So far it is working great except for the fact that I swear my nose is getting crooked from the nasal pillows pushing my nose slightly to the left! I have the Swift FX on order from DME and shou...

easy way to clean "aussie" hose
I plugged both ends using a "TipTop" brand plastic wine cork (maroon colored) after adding soapy water. No leaks. It is much better method than putting plastic wrap around the ends.
