Re: Dreamstation 2 quits during night

Start thinking about how you will treat yourself to a Resmed--even a used one. Nobody deserves to be kicked around; and you are entitled to better. They started me on Respironics and I've stayed, a lot because they're 12V machines. ResMed is, or was, 24V, so you had to add an inverter. I camp betwe...

Re: Dreamstation 2 quits during night

Sorry I forgot to include. Auto Off is not engaged. No ramp. Constant pressure. It also displays a message of Service Required and the whole display screen flashes. Kind of alarming the first time. Now I don't even take off my sleep mask. I've got it so I just unplug it at the wall, so I don't have ...

Dreamstation 2 quits during night

I've had my new replacement Dreamstation 2 for 4 weeks now. The past week, it's started quitting by itself in the middle of the night!! Alarming and irritating!! It's done it 5 nights, 3 of which it did it twice. Last night, it didn't record any Flowrate in Oscar, until I rebooted it after it quit a...

Re: Oscar not retaining data

Well, somewhere in the Oscar Help section, I read something about not putting 2 machines on the same profile. I made a new Profile and low & behold, it imported all the data from the old machine and new, and retained it all after closing Oscar and reopening. Sorry for asking for help when I hadn't q...

Oscar not retaining data

I finally received my replacement Philips Dreamstation 2 about 3 weeks ago. I'm finding that Oscar does not keep any new data from the SD card. When I download the card, all the data is there, but when I close Oscar, no data since I got the new machine is on Oscar when I open it again. My old System...

Re: OSCAR dropping profile

Not sure it's the best answer, with regards to computer issues, but I found that when I changed the Properties in the Oscar Data file General Tab, removing the Hidden attribute, I got my profile to display and do all the expected things!! Yea!!!!!

Re: OSCAR dropping profile

Yep!!! Reloaded it twice, today, as the source wasn't as direct on the first one. Both were 1.4.0

OSCAR dropping profile

I just finally got my replacement Philips Dreamstation 2. I'm a long time Sleepyhead user, but not a lot the last year so may have forgotten things! I've installed Oscar and downloaded the chip from my old System one and all the data was there. As soon as I close Oscar, there's not any profile liste...

Re: What is your biggest CPAP struggle?

I'm surprised that primary care docs don't ever bring up the subject. I've been on CPAP for 16 years and have never been asked anything about apnea. Our small town goes through PC Docs pretty quickly, but none of them ever address apnea. When I've needed prescriptions, I've coached them on what an o...

Re: Venting about replacing 6YO PR machine!!

Today, I called to ask about the status of my supplies order from Sept 21. I was told that since I had requested a replacement machine, which they can't deliver because I'm on the PR recall list, they can't fill my order for mask supplies?? WHAT???!!!! I suggested that they drop my request of any ma...

Venting about replacing 6YO PR machine!!

I live in the sticks. Most patients in my hometown are commonly forced to go 50 or 90 miles if they have troubles with their machines, regardless of their DME. I use a DME affiliated with RoTech that is 55 miles away. I have a 6 year old Phillips that has been registered with their recall. I would l...

Replacement or New Machines

I'm curious what brand and model machines are being provided by DMEs for new patients or patients needing a replacement machine. I know the Phillips recall is messing with things, let alone the whole covid shortage of things. I"m wanting a replacement machine and wondering if Resmed or Phillips Resp...

Resvent IBreeze CPAP

I'm getting leery of my 6year old Respironics PR System one and have started into arguing with the DME and my primary care doc for replacement machine. After 7 weeks, I found that the doc sent my prescription Aug. 28, but the DME has never called me. When I called them this week for an update, they ...

Re: New to Medicare

Pugsy, I read that exact piece, to whoever answers at Medicare. That's when she asked a supervisor, who confirmed I'd need a study. Trust me, I'm sleeping at my house and I'll get them to provide mask parts!! This is turning into one of my top 5 lifetime piss-me-offs!!! I'll scan the form that my do...

Re: New to Medicare

Not sure I can bring my temper to a call to Medicare again!! Are you saying we can submit things directly to Medicare?? Is this in the Appeal process? I know I'm about to buy my stuff with cash, just to continue the battle!! I don't often swap my pillows and when I do I can't see any change in data,...
