Re: Resvent ibreeze

BTW.....they might try to tell you that your sleep center doctor "prescribed" the machine but it is EXTREMELY rare for any doctor to specify a brand. Usually prescriptions are worded generically... like "cpap with heated humidifier and/or heated hose"..that sort of thing unless someone is getting a ...

Re: Anyone in DFW area find a DME with Airsense 11?

Did you mean would file your insurance for you and not ask you to pay for it up front? All the online DMEs will take prescriptions but not so many of them will work in network with your insurance. And from the last I saw....not many of the online DMEs even have the AirSense 11...and the couple I saw...

Re: Resvent ibreeze

I wouldn't accept it myself.
It's not compatible with OSCAR for one thing.
Another thing it isn't what you told them you want.

Call up your insurance company and ask for a list of DMEs in your area that are in your network...and then start calling to see if anyone has what you want.

Re: pressure response on Airsense 11

I believe that the Deamstation makes no attempt at evaluating the shape of the flow rate v. time curve so doesn't produce a flow limitation "grade" that is used to incrementally increase the pressure. Am I correct in that understanding ???? Respironics machines have always done something with the F...

Re: pressure response on Airsense 11

I'd classify this as a flow limtation example, and in fact Resmed classifies it that way as well (because their/my flow limitation graph increases and initiates an incremental increase in pressure. But here's the thing: I am sitting fully upright in a chair, fully awake and have no sense of distres...

Re: Anyone in DFW area find a DME with Airsense 11?

Palerider has never bought anything from any brick and mortar DME that I am aware of. Totally done all his therapy on his own. I don't think he has any on speed dial.  Besides even if he did and someone wanted to use insurance there's no guarantee that the DME would be in network anyway. ...

Re: Understand my new Resmed Airsense 11Autoset

I accidentally tagged you, I meant to tag the OP. My apologies, I didn't mean to suggest you weren't correct. I'm going to fix the incorrect quote tag. No problem. I will leave what I said mainly to let people know why I limit my responses. What I typed above took me over 30 minutes to compose. Som...

Re: Understand my new Resmed Airsense 11Autoset

It depends what type of Ramp I tend to answer the question(s) as presented. Since Ramp was mentioned and not Auto Ramp....that's why I didn't go into Auto Ramp. Thank you for further expanding though. My typing is still extremely limited and will be for several weeks. I am trying to keep my answers...

Re: Understand my new Resmed Airsense 11Autoset

1...normal cool down period. Usually for about 30 minutes after ceasing use of machine the machine will still blow air at a very low volume. This is to help dry out the mask and/or hose. ResMed machines have done this for years. Should be explained in the manual. 2...New sessions start at noon per t...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Personality wise I am an achiever and hate feeling like I have "failed." I hear you and I am in the same boat but I have also learned to accept "less than maybe ideal" and what is really important in the grand scheme of life. Sometimes it isn't always having the most perfect of settings or pretty g...

Re: YEA My First Oscar submission

Do whatever you need to do to get to sleep AND STAY asleep first and foremost. Without sleep....none of this matters. The increase in central apneas does go along with leaks causing wake ups and points to false positive flagging from the awake breathing. To be honest I wouldn't worry so much about t...

Re: Waking Frequently

How can I adjust the settings? These options are locked on the machine interface. You go here and request the clinical/provider manual for your model machine and the manual explains the secret button pushing combination handshake needed to get into the clinical setup menu. https://www.apneaboard.co...

Re: Waking Frequently

I'm fairly sure the acceptable leak rate for Devilbiss is quite high (90?), Yes. Acceptable leak rate is actually quite high. The Statistical "time over red line" thing is an OSCAR generated data point based on another brand's red line and in your situation it it way off. Ignore it or just turn it ...

Re: Waking Frequently

A quick word about Devilbiss machine reports from what I remember seeing in the past. There have always been a higher than usual hyponea count shown. I don't know if this is from definition criteria for flagging or not. Also in the past the usual increase in minimum pressure advice didn't seem to fi...
