Re: CPAP Weight Gain?

It's true...both of the statements. IMHO While a lot of people do report losing weight once on cpap therapy...for whatever reason...some people have reported gaining weight...for whatever reason. The thing is...people gain and lose weight all the time and they aren't even using a cpap. The reason is...

Re: Adjusting to a new CPAP/APAP

If you are having problems inhaling and exhaling with the DeVilbiss machine it sounds like you don't like what the SmartFlex exhale relief is doing. You probably need to adjust the setting for SmartFlex or even just turn it off. http://www.devilbisshealthcare.com/files/SmartFlex%20SS_LT-2099RevA.pdf...

Re: Bleep Eclipse?

Hoping for June release date.
It will be available for pre-ordering prior to release.
Once it's available for pre-order I will be able to talk about it as much as I want to.

When I know more...so will you guys.

Re: OSCAR v1.3.1 is released - January 23, 2022

Or you can purge the old data using the purge function available in OSCAR...where you can purge selected dates. Me...I would just create a new profile. I will probably just create a new profile like you said, but how do I "purge selected dates"? In Oscar look up at the top menu and click on "data"....

Re: Bleep Eclipse?

Yes.  But if I told you what I know I would have to kill you. Where did you hear about it? What have you heard about it? It is the next generation Bleep but I didn't know that there were details out there about it. Funny, it really does sound like a James Bond thing. I read about it here...

Re: OSCAR v1.3.1 is released - January 23, 2022

This is my first machine, so there is no prior data. I did decide today to ERASE the data but not for the reasons stated here. I could not change the TIME on the machine. It was three hours ahead. When I tried to change it, it did not allow me to do it without erasing the data. So, I erased the SD ...

Re: OSCAR v1.3.1 is released - January 23, 2022

Is there a way to delete old data? I recently purchased a gently used BiPap machine, but when I imported my data yesterday into Oscar, I saw that the old data on there from 2018-2019. I didn't see a way to delete these old records though. There is a way to remove the prior user's old data but until...

Re: Do I have sleep apnea?

Some of those drops could be loss of contact artifacts. Sudden drops and sudden recoveries are usually the pulse ox losing a bit of contact and it needing to reset itself. Real desats and recoveries normally will take a lot longer. Pretty sure the first big drop before 21:00 is a loss of contact art...

Re: False Flags and Mini-Leaks Question

Mini leaks could be causing arousals. Just because a leak isn't massive doesn't mean it isn't affecting overall sleep quality. Once a person has an arousal or awakening then that increases the chance of a false positive flag. Also increases the chance of a transitional or sleep onset apnea getting f...

Re: ResMed AirCurve 10 VAuto w/HumidAir Humidifier

Not looking good folks. I bought the machine...it was supposed to be mailed out last Tuesday a week ago today. Haven't heard a damn thing. My PM to OP is still sitting in my outbox here. No tracking number...no nothing. Guess I need to get PayPal involved....sigh. I may have to rethink allowing new ...

Re: Vauto and flow limitations = higher AHI?

If you are concerned with OAs/hyponeas....more minimum EPAP is what you need to try. And make darn sure the OAs/hyponeas are real asleep flagged events as well. We can have false positive arousal related OAs and hyponeas as well.....it's not limited to just centrals. Before doing anything....make su...

Re: MiAmigo's CPAP thread

Anything flagged when you know for sure you were awake can be ignored.
Anything else is a problem.

I think the doctor is an idiot.

Re: Vauto and flow limitations = higher AHI?

I am confused....you want to reduce the AHI that is primarily made up of CA/centrals with pressure changes???? You know that usually doesn't work out so great unless the pressure is triggering the centrals and if that is the case one wants less pressure not more....if centrals is what we are worried...
