Re: Newbie seeking help to reduce AHI as low as possible - Oscar data

The idea behind the increase in minimum pressure is to ward off or prevent any flow limitations or snores that might be happening when the pressure is a bit lower. Hopefully with a bit higher pressure the machine can do a better job of preventing the snores. The snores are a sign the airway is tryin...

Re: Newbie seeking help to reduce AHI as low as possible - Oscar data

The snore graph is a lot more active than we would like to see and it seems to correlate with the flow limitation increase as well. Are you experiencing any nasal congestion at all? If not then you probably need more minimum pressure. Probably up around 14 cm EPAP minimum pressure. But if you are ha...

Can you share the snore graph for that March 1 report?

Re: Seeking input on how I am going RE CPAP use

I have heard of the Glasgow index but only in passing. I can't really comment on its results since I don't understand it or have any idea how it works or what it actually means.

I go on how I feel and how I slept more than I do numbers.

Re: Seeking input on how I am going RE CPAP use

Nothing of any great excitement on that report.
How are you sleeping and feeling. If decently then I don't see any need to go doing anything with the settings.

Re: Help Please with increase in Leaks

Have you tried to figure out exactly where the leaks might be coming from?.....like taping the mouth shut to eliminate mouth opening leaks??
Have you tried a new long hose to make sure the hose hasn't sprung a leak or hole somewhere?

Re: Rainout Solution Suggestions

And you need to be careful about hanging your hose (to reduce the impacts of rain-out). Yes, any water that condenses will run back towards the machine, *provided* it condenses before the apex of the hose. But, any water that condense after the apex, on the mask side, will run back towards the mask...

Re: Rainout Solution Suggestions

I don't know of any hose cover (we call them hose cozies) that is 7 foot in length and with the use of a heated hose it isn't as critical to use a hose cover/cozy on a heated hose but there are some nice cozies for those shorter hoses that are what I call mask hoses. Karen at Padacheek has some very...

See the above post/link posts number 2 and 3 for various options on how to deal with condensation in the mask or hose.

Re: First Week Impressions vs One-Month Reflections on My New CPAP Interface

Hmm That does look kinda interesting in my opinion it looks like something that would easily get knocked around though I’m referring to the bleep mask. I have never knocked it anywhere near to coming loose or coming apart. You are entitled to form an opinion about something you have never even trie...

Re: First Week Impressions vs One-Month Reflections on My New CPAP Interface

What is a Bleep? The Eclipse mask is what OP says he is using....the Eclipse is a newer version of the Bleep Sleep original. There's a link in OP's post that shows both of those masks if you want to take the time to go look at it. Or go look at the link in my profile because I use it as well. CPAP ...

What is it doing (the auto on feature) that makes you feel it is unreliable?

Re: Where is the AirSense 12?

Secondly according to a simple law all technology including cpaps will get better over time. OMG I just peed myself laughing so hard. You obviously have a lot more trust in technology than I do. I have just spent 2 plus days fighting with my computer because it did some updates and now nothing want...
