Re: Urgent ResMed filter question

There's something wrong with the filter that you posted a pic of. I've used official Resmed filters before and they certainly didn't look like that. You know that was the same thought I had. That ResMed standard filter sure looks awfully crappy and in all my years of using ResMed filter (both stand...

Why did I have to Erase Data in order to 'fall back' then?
Special circumstance.....ResMed machines won't allow a person to change the time or date if there is data within the files created for the date selected.

If there wasn't any data in the file then the machine would have let you fall back.

Re: My Bleeping Brevida mask

Hey folks. When I saw the Brevida nasal pillows with the Eclipse magnets in it I got to thinking about trying that trick with a nasal pillow mask. Only nasal pillow mask I have now is the P10. So I gave it a try. Took the piece with the magnets out of the Eclipse frame and crammed it up inside the n...

Re: Aircurve 11 Vauto Leak Alert

That leak alert alarm (if it is turned on) is pitifully weak in terms of the "alarm".
Back when I did have that alarm enabled and used it....I slept right through the "alarm" beeping.
It was never loud enough to wake me up. YMMV

I suggest people experiment with it to see just how "loud" it isn't.

Re: Read Oscar like a pro

You need to ask specific questions about whatever you need some explanation to. Don't use that dropbox thing for images....images too small to see adequately. About all I could tell about this latest batch of images at dropbox is you got a large leak problem. https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t1723...

Re: Sorry to waste time

without knowing what problem was solved that makes this topic pretty much a useless topic and taking up storage space on the forum servers.

Maybe the entire topic/thread just needs to go bye bye?????

Re: Wrong Usage Time

That makes sense. I went through and added my usage times and it seemed like the usage time was right. I would rather see it like if I slept from 6a to 2p that’s a 8hrs. They should have done it from midnight to midnights Actually you can see the reports that way if you wish but it will involve cha...

Re: Wrong Usage Time

There's an internal clock you can set... you may have to Erase Data to do that, All ResMed machines prior to the AirSense/AirCurve 11 models have a clock that the user can set and it does NOT require a date erasure of the machine to accomplish. Now it won't let you go backwards in terms of changing...

Re: Getting CPAP Machine Data to SD Card

The machine needs the SD card to be in the machine for it to write the detailed data (that you are now missing) directly to the SD card. The machine ONLY STORES summary data in its internal memory so that's all it can put back on that newly formatted SD card. So when you reformatted the SD card you ...

Re: How Long To Feel Better When Starting CPAP Therapy

Unless I completely misunderstand this metric, is that saying 99.5% of the time IPAP is at 18, thus pegging my max setting? Does not make sense, as graph does not reflect this. No, that 99.5% number does NOT mean you were AT that number for 99.5% of the time. It just means that you hit that number ...

Re: How Long To Feel Better When Starting CPAP Therapy

Is it normal practice for users here to use imgur and not upload direct to forum i.e. is it easier to manage with imgur? It wasn't until just a couple of weeks ago that we were finally able to do forum attachments for image sharing. Before that the forum attachment storage was full because so many ...

I think what Ozij is suggesting, and what I would concur with, is that a modest increase in your Min EPAP from 10 up to 11 or 12 might get rid of obstructive events while not aggravating the number of CAs being scored.
I agree with both of you.

Re: New CPAP User. Huge Spike in AHI (<100) after 5 nights.

Do you think this data is concerning enough to warrant an earlier appointment? No.... not at this point. Even the really ugly stuff the doctor would very likely want to give it some time even if it was truly full blown CPAP treatment emergent central sleep apnea. The reason he would want to "give i...
