Re: What brand of airline approved battery do you use for Dreamstation?

I contacted the manufacturer. Version 1 had a barrel ended cord for Dreamstation that had to be ordered separately. it's no longer available. Version 2 now uses a cord that uses USB C to connect to the battery.

What brand of airline approved battery do you use for Dreamstation?

What Brand of airline approved battery do you use for Dreamstation? I had been using Freedom CPAP battery (version 1) since 2019. Recently upgraded to Dreamstation 2 and unfortunately the battery isn't compatible with my new machine. The Freedom CPAP v1 was compatible with my old Philips System one ...

Re: Changing mask type for the first time in 7 years. Suggestion

I think the Respironics DreamWear is just what i need! Make sure you get the mask package that included the "fit pack" so that you get all the sizes of cushions available. The fit pack packaging has all the different sizes of the cushion part which fits under the nose.. The fit pack is what I'll or...

Re: Changing mask type for the first time in 7 years. Suggestion

There's the Respironics DreamWear. Fairly new and a nice little mask with no hard pieces to get stepped on to break. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/pr-dreamwear-nasal-cpap-mask-fit-pack.html If something else sparks your interest...I have a handful of nasal cushion masks (don't remember which one...

Changing mask type for the first time in 7 years. Suggestion

So I've been using a full face mask for 7 years. However during my first year of therapy, I used the Swift FX. After a few months of therapy, I realized I was mouth breathing. I tried chin straps and tape. The I went to the full face mask. Never looked back. I've used various full face RESMED masks,...

Re: changes: weight down. AHI up. pressure down. what?!?

Thanks for the feedback. OK, so I got Sleepyhead working. I couldn't get it to work on my Windows XP 3 machine but it was fine on my wife's iMac. Anyway, I analysed the trend in the last 12 months-- the worsening trend started around May 1. On a nightly basis, 80% of events happened from 3:30 am to ...

Re: Sleepyhead, CPAP, APAP, and BIPAP

I have two machines that I use. My main machine is a Respironics APAP that I got in 2011. My older machine is a Respironics CPAP that I got in 2009. I use the CPAP machine now for travel-- I have permanently packed luggage that includes the machine, hose, mask, and 8' extension cord. I use the same ...

changes: weight down. AHI up. pressure down. what?!?

Could I get your feedback please? So, I started therapy back in 2009, and it has been a miracle. I've used the machine every night since then. In '09, my weight was around 250 lbs. Peaked at 260 in 2011. Now, I'm down to 220. In the last 90 days, I have had a noticeable degradation in my sleep. GERD...

I finally got a new machine - i now have a Respironics PR System One REMstar Auto CPAP Machine with A-Flex. my old machine was also a Respironics, m series cpap. i'm looking forward to trying it out. i decided i'd try the auto mode -- i'd been using straight cpap with a pressure of 10.5 or 11 for qu...

Re: Air shoots out eye thru nasolacrimal duct when using cpap

this reminded me of a similar complaint I had: http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43956&st=0&sk=t&sd=a i still have occasional problems with it. seems that sometimes moving my head helps it. but your thread let me know there's some diagnostic ENT work that can be done, and i'll print this t...

Re: whistling machine on inhale. suggestions?

My PR1 was making that noise in the first weeks that I had it. I lifted it off the floor and put it on a table more even with the mattress. Make certain that you aren't lying on the hose or that a heavy blanket or pillow isn't on top of the hose. It may be vibration from something lying on or touch...

Re: HAS CPAP LOWERED YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE?

yes CPAP has lowered. i have my own bp cuff, and these days i test weekly. since starting CPAP, my average bp now is 119/79, which is lower than the BP in my signature, which was my average after my first year on CPAP. prior to CPAP, my BP was much higher. my GP put me on meds about two months befor...
