Re: Large Leak Frustration

A lot of people do their Oscars on e.g. Imgur.com and leave a link to it in a post here.

Re: Confusion over cleaning hose/tubing

The majority don't bother with the hose and you're worrying needlessly. Nothing goes through it but air.

Re: Lifelong Necessity or Temporary Measure?

Your good numbers now are due to your using the Cpap. Apnea is an ongoing condition - a few mos. or yrs of Cpap won't 'cure' it. If you have reason to think you're 'cured' arrange another test (without using Cpap for a few days prior) and see how the numbers look then. Most of us have to use it 'for...

Re: Please help, breathing digestive acid into my lungs?

Hi - someone else will reply with more info re using the machine in different scenarios, but as far as the acid goes, it is common with apnea, but you're not breathing it in even if it feels that way, and what many of us do is take something before bed to deal with it... I perosnally use e.g. half a...

No it's not!

Re: Dry mouth, throat, nasal passages

Are you on any new meds? Are you using a humidifier? Are you in a new place where humidity is lower than old place? Some hints would be helpful, like which model of what machine, what pressures, etc. etc. Can you download Oscar (see Stickies) and provide some info?

Would she be willing to try wearing some kind of backpack (even a fanny pack thing) to keep her from flipping when asleep?

If you can manage not to sleep on your back, your hypopneas should lessen by a lot. Try it for a few nights and you might just be surprised.

Can you please go to your Profile and add which model of what machine you use? And what mask? Then download (free) Oscar from the Stickies at the top of the page and post results in this thread... if it won't work (things are full here) then use e.g. Imgur.com and put a link here to those results.

Re: Humidifier heating element heats up when water runs out

Not sure what you're asking about being 'normal', but of course since the heat applies to the water in the tub, the tub will overheat (and stink) if water's used up - so don't let it go dry, or make sure to refill if it does.
