Can you please go to your Profile and add which model of what machine you use? And what mask? Then download (free) Oscar from the Stickies at the top of the page and post results in this thread... if it won't work (things are full here) then use e.g. Imgur.com and put a link here to those results.

Re: Humidifier heating element heats up when water runs out
Not sure what you're asking about being 'normal', but of course since the heat applies to the water in the tub, the tub will overheat (and stink) if water's used up - so don't let it go dry, or make sure to refill if it does.

Re: (New member) Aerophagia and Fragmented Sleep
And I was thinking to raise your max pressure because it looks like it's 'capping' the min. that might want to go higher to deal with obstructives... aerophagia aside for the moment. I don't understand why your min. and max are overlapping on Oscar. I suppose you could try both ideas because leaving...

Cpap keeps your throat open, not your nose.

Re: Epr and flow limitations
Does it matter why it happens?
I would just set the min. pressure a bit higher and maybe it will help.

99% of us never (or soo rarely) clean the hoses - nothing but air ever goes thru them at any time.

Re: First-time CPAP Machine Help (Newly Diagnosed OSA)!
Even if the DME's had some way to see your data, tho' nothing at all as comprehensive as Oscar, they are NOT MDs and cannot prescribe anything, whatever they tell you, plus while they know the machines, they don't know medicine, tho' always want to advise. Please don't take your info from them.

Have you installed Oscar (see info Stickie top of messages)? Post results here and the experts will help you interpret and suggest any adjustments that might need making.

Re: For those running APAP with a narrow range.....
But do you understand by having the max setting at 12 it could keep the min. pressure from rising any higher if needed?

Re: Just diagnosed / Luna G3
Reactive is good in this place, and Apap is proactive if used correctly. Most people find that 4 is hard to breathe at tho' so generally move it 6-7 (and leave the max setting at 20, which is more usual than 15 here). Luna is not usual here tho', only overseas, so most also are unfamiliar with it ex...

Re: Questions about new equipment and using a medical supply place
I would ask if they can send it back to you... or else ask your MD if they can write a new one. But you also need to ask your insce co. which dealers (we call them DME's) they support.

Were they clear about trying to back-sleep vs side sleep to bring down your hypopneas that usually are worse if back sleeping? There are ways to keep from doing it.
