Re: plug

They do make Super Glue, that would make it hard to remove, but if they wanted the cord to do harm with, they would get it. Jim

What will make a difference, allowing the hose to kink or deform, don't allow the hose to do that. Jim

I tried to train my gremlins to behave, but all they do is BITE.
My tribbles are well-behaved, though--since I found an herb that makes them sterile.
I keep my grain locked up in the best storage bins I can find. Jim

Re: Avoiding Internet Connectivity in APAP

Also in a cave or under ground, with the house inside a Faraday cage, running on D.C. power only, no grid hookup, in a lead lined house, could be useful also. Jim You had me at “Faraday Cage”. No home should be without one. i let my faraday run wild, as nature intended. I keep my Fara-DAY in his ca...

Re: Avoiding Internet Connectivity in APAP

There's the lasers that turn your windows into microphones, infrared devices that can see thru walls, everyone and the government carrying a camera and recorder on them and the government that can read the paper you are reading from space, nothing is ever secure. So just behave, that really confuses...

Re: Avoiding Internet Connectivity in APAP

Hmmm, goat girl only has ONE post . . . Think of that as you will. To fully address the paranoia of her . . . whatever, they should set up residence in Amish country. Also in a cave or under ground, with the house inside a Faraday cage, running on D.C. power only, no grid hookup, in a lead lined ho...

Re: How do you use your Neilmed?

I'd ask my doctor, instead of counting of replies from people that haven't been here in a decade or two. (One of the hazzards of playing in the dead zone). I'd think real hard before I'd let any knife happy doctor, do anything that would stop me from using XPAP, even for a few days. Jim

Hanging on a line and beating the rug would save me a lot of money, but the wife won't buy into it. If she beats the rug, she is too tired to beat me. She has killed 5 sweepers in four years, she lives to sweep. Jim

Re: Resmed accused of patent breach

Looks like these patents expire in 2023 & 24. They should be able to kick it around in court long enough for them to expire. Kicking it around in court for a few years, until the patents expire, wouldn't prevent compensation for all the units sold during infringement (six years prior to fili...

Re: Filter change interval

Do all air compressors have an oil removal device? I would hate to blow a gob of oil into a filter. Besides the can is quiet and very portable. Some compressors are oil less, but most good ones have pressure regulators on them. They also have a safety valve to protect the tank from over pressure. I...

Re: Filter change interval

We have used canned air to flush out the window AC filter. Probably gentler than a compressor. Canned air should be ok, also most air compressors have a pressure regulator to control the pressure. My old Tank XPAPs, use washable foam and the white inner filter, I keep a supply of both. All 3 are ov...

Re: Filter change interval

I have washed the ResMed Standard filter just to see what happened. It survived just fine. So it can be done in a pinch. Yes, but it's not a good idea. Many filters washing changes the characteristics of the filter, ( air flow and size of particles removed). Gently blowing it out, with compressed a...
