You start with looking at the composition of the AHI.....what category of events before just randomly increasing the pressure in an effort to reduce the AHI.

Why? Because not everything can be fixed with more pressure.
Okay, thanks. I'll check back once I get the OSCAR data

Determining the Minimum APAP Pressure

Hi all, I'm trying to help my stepson, who was diagnosed with Apnea about 6 months ago. He's been using an APAP, the Airsense 11, in CPAP mode until recently. His AHI has been running about 6 - 10, which we'd like to get down. His doctor set the CPAP pressure to 9, and he just kept it there. His tre...

Re: Weaving data from 2 cpaps together

No, just upload the data (preferably in chronological order) and Oscar will sort it out. Great, thanks! Is the chronological order thing important? I don't think that I have uploaded from either APAP since I started splitting my time. I'm not sure which one has the earliest date, although I guess I...

Weaving data from 2 cpaps together

Hi Guys! On the advice of the people here, I got a new Airsense 11 auto for my main home and took my older Airsense 10 auto to my vacation home. (I mean the two CPAPs were their idea. My sense is that the Airsense 11 is not considered to be much of an upgrade over the lower-priced 10.) Now, I'm gett...

Re: Vacation Home Machine?

Thanks, everyone! This has been very helpful. I've ordered an AS11, which I will use as my home machine, and I'll move my AS10 out to the vacation home.

Re: Vacation Home Machine?

Don't wait to make a decision! I posted elsewhere that the AirSense Card to Cloud machines are now discounted, and LSAT replied he has one with a MODEM for sale! You might PM LSAT to inquire about that. The AS11, I believe, uses pretty much the same software as far as algorithms and such, it's not ...

Re: Vacation Home Machine?

  I call it "fluff"....they make it sound like it is such a benefit that everyone just has to have it and in real life most people don't see that much benefit. And it didn't even work on my new 11. The bluetooth never connected. I had to enter the serial number manually. I rest my case......

Re: Vacation Home Machine?

They put in a bluetooth capability just so you didn't need to enter the serial number ONCE?  I call it "fluff"....they make it sound like it is such a benefit that everyone just has to have it and in real life most people don't see that much benefit. Re: Vacation Home Machine?

My cell service at my home is really, really marginal, and my AS10 is sometimes unable to communicate with Resmed for weeks at a time. It's still mind-boggling that all Resmed devices don't have wifi. The payback period on such an investment would have to be very short, and the ROI huge. Yeah, but ...

Re: Vacation Home Machine?

(I also see in looking further at the AS11, that it can communicate via Cell or Bluetooth, so there goes that idea!) Yes, the Air11 has bluetooth. But, it doesn't exchange therapy data with the Phone App. It still relies on the cell network for therapy summary upload. All Bluetooth does on the Air1...

Re: Vacation Home Machine?

MyAir has always been tied to one machine serial number which is why people haven't been able to combine 2 different machines under one MyAir account. You can try to combine but don't be surprised when you can't. Hi Pugsy, Thanks for the clarification! I'll try it, just for the heck of it, but I wo...

Re: Vacation Home Machine?

Thanks Dog and Sauer for your quick replies. Sauer, I see your point about parts commonality, but I'm afraid I am seduced by the new! :D Dog, I'm wondering if maybe an AS10 and an AS11 could be combined on one MyAir profile because it looks like they communicate differently. But I can play with that...

Vacation Home Machine?

I thought this might have been discussed, but I can't find it. If it was, I apologize. For the first time in my (fairly long) life, I have a vacation home for weekends and summer vacations. I am trying to minimize the amount of schlepping that I have to do, and I'm considering the idea of purchasing...
