Re: Flow limitations and large leaks
Are you asking "how does the machine gather and calculate data during large leak periods"? When I look at the breath flow on my charts, I ignore anything that happens during large leaks. My large leaks are very rare, so I'm not concerned about their effect on the calculations. If they were frequent ...

Re: Newbie here - Could you help me interpret data please?
You've been changing setting on a nightly basis - which is not a good idea. You brain and body have to get used to sleeping with CPAP, and nightly changes don't let them do that. Stick to a single setting for a week. You mean this last week? Well, it's because I've been feeling terrible since the "...

Re: I recently got a CPAP machine and I'm still exhausted
Doest the Luna 3 have software that lets you chart the breath flow? We need to see the nightly breath flow in order to start understanding what's going on with your therapy. If you can find software for your machine, fine. If not: Can you have it changed to a ResMed Auto AS10 or AS11? Or possibly an...

Re: Help needed.
Rather restless sleep, with frequent changes left side, right side 95 % of the time, OA cluster after one hour (REM stage after Deep sleep stage ?). [...] My sleep test indicated "restless legs syndrome" as the likely culprit for my apnea. Even if I don't feel anything in my legs. Your "restless le...

Re: alternating masks
I alternate between the Bleep, the P10 and an F30 (that's a Full Face Mask).
Sometime more of one mask, sometimes more of another - especially when I need a break from mouth taping.

Re: Melted plastic smell won't go away
Two machines in a row? I would check the power source--either the brick or the outlet. Something is not right. That was my first reading too. But the I saw the thread was edited just before chunky's repsonse, hours after the previous discussion. I'm guessing the first paragraph is the edit, and the...

Re: Need alternative to AirSense 10
20+ year CPAP user. I recently bought a ResMed AirSense 10, and I'm having issues with it. I need to replace it, but I need to make sure the new machine won't have the same issue. This will take some explaining, so bear with me. Which was your previous machine? What settings? What kind pressure rel...

Re: Frequent wakeups with mild OSA -- help me interpret OSCAR?
Hi ozij, Thanks for your comment! This is insightful and I tried a couple nights with the pressured increased to 8-12 and EPR enabled (per advice on another forum to help with the flow limits). I've uploaded screenshots here . From a glance it doesn't appear that the flow limitations are improved m...

Re: Can't sleep long with CPAP
is it supposed to be this "tight" around nostril? No. Masks aren't designed to fit tightly. There is a sweet spot between too loose and tight. You might try watching some fitting and adjusting videos on YouTube.com. Find videos on your exact model. And furthermore mask fitting has to be done when t...

Re: Can't sleep long with CPAP
Testing the mask and hose without connecting them to the machine will not tell much about how you feel when the machine is working. well even "losen up" its hard to breath through the nasal mask (without the machine or anything plugged on) so that might be one of the reason? How many masks have you ...

Re: My AirSense 11 is crazy thirsty
Higher pressure uses more water. ResMed machines are more responsive to some breathing patterns, so maybe you pressure is higher. Have you checked for leaks? Why would the AirSense handle the air in my room differently? Because - possibly - it is "instructed" so supply more moisture in its automatic...

Re: Frequent wakeups with mild OSA -- help me interpret OSCAR?
Welcome to the forum, mcrick. Look at your flow chart. See how the pressure goes up and down? Look at your flow limitations chart. You get batches of flow limitations, and they drive your pressure up. APAP is programmed to raise pressure when flow limitations occur. Unfortunately, it's doesn't keep ...
