Hi AW, Rainout is typically a fair amount of condensation in the hose or mask. It doesn't sound like you had rainout. Was there any moisture in the hose? I use the activa, and get a small amount of condensation each night in the mask, but only a few drops, nothing to be bothersome. I never get any m...

Well the tech that called me tonight told me that there is no information that I would need or find usefull in a more advanced machine. She told me that the machines would not tell me for instance is my breathing had stoped. The only way I would find information such as that is that if I was to ret...

With a cold I generally try my backup FF mask, but I usually get so miserable from the cold itself that I can't stand it and nothing is good, and end up NOT using cpap. I dread those times becuase I'm just plain sick AND tired, literally!

Re: Any one waking up feeling a little detached & panick

I just started CPAP 2 weeks ago - setting 14 - I am sleeping much better, my acid reflux has improved drastically but right as I am waking up in the morning I am having wierd almost surreal dreams/hallucinations which cause me to feel uneasy and alittle panicky when the alarm goes off. I had this p...

I've tried the UMFF mask, and at a pressure of 14cm and my facial structure, it just would not work, it flopped all over the place, even when tightened down severely. I figured the most different mask from the UMFF was the HR 7600, so I bought one recently. For me, it works fairly well. It needs to ...

Poor Melissa, it's always something, isn't it? We may go a day or two without an episode but something is bound to happen. You are supposed to be a trained medical professional but I question that. Your desperate need for attention needs to be addressed another forum, not one for CPAP. I know I'm s...

I've used four masks, resmed ultra mirage 2 nasal, Ultra Mirage Full face, Resmed Activa (nasal), and Hans Rudolph 7600 Full face. I've not tried any masks with nasal pillows. However, I LOVE the Activa. It is great for side sleeping and very comfortable. Everyone has their favorite mask, and this o...

Hi CSA, I've only tried two FF masks, the Ultra Mirage FF and the HR 7600. For me, the UMFF flapped and leaked terribly, it was not usable. I bought the HR FF as a backup to my Activa for when I have allergies/cold. The HR FF is sturdy, and much like the cartridge paint respirators you see at the ho...

The only conclusion/explanation that I can come up with is the M humidifier actually works as designed (I am not trying to blast resmend products, I use their masks) while the resmed did not heat as well in the 1 to 3 positions (I think I read here recently that someone else noticed that as well). ...
