Re: Left my chamber at home

Good suggestions, I hadn't really thought of that. Thank you.

Left my chamber at home

I can live without my CPAP for a week vacation at my parents house, but was just wondering if any of you have gotten into this situation before and how you dealt with it. Took a week-long vacation from where I live in Phoenix, AZ. Morning of my flight I made sure to pack my CPAP device into it's car...

goggles

I'm looking for a good pair of sleep goggles with specific characteristics: 1...I want them to form a good seal, to both block out light and keep my eye sockets warm from the cold air in the rest of the room, and, even more importantly, 2, they must be designed in such a way that no part of them tou...

Doctor referral

I'm just wondering how many people are having the same frustrations as I am with regard to exactly who to consult and who to deal with regarding my CPAP issues. This whole thing started about a year and a half ago when I consulted my general practitioner about possible cures for snoring, and wanting...

Re: eyes and nose

I hate to differ with a doctor, but my ENT said it is absolutely possible for air to go from the nose into the eyes. I have that problem, and if you search, you will find reports here of others who do also. So if it is, in fact, an issue of air leaking into my eye sockets, what can be done about it...

[quote="curtcurt46"]If your eyes are bothering you at night you can't rule out leaks into the eyes from the mask. You might try some other masks such as the swiftII and Optilife nasal pillow masks. I have used both with little leaking.

This isn't really working too well for me.

I've been on CPAP since about September of 2006. I think the only way it's really helping is if I'm on a business trip sharing a hotel room with someone, my co-worker says with the CPAP I don't snore. Other than that, I have problems with flatulence caused by swallowing a lot of air, as well as feel...

I've been doing that as well, using a neti pot, but so far that's not working either.

Have you been to an ENT? Are your sinuses clear? Have you considered nasal irrigation? O. Yes, in fact I had a septoplasty (surgery to clear a partially blocked septum) a couple of weeks ago. I'd been hoping that would help, but it hasn't. On my follow-up visits, whenever the ENT puts his tweezers ...

Eye sockets bloated.

I've been using cpap for almost a year now. I know that it does stop me from snoring, but I still have trouble with my eye sockets feeling all sore and bloated by morning, I'm guessing because of all the air pressure going into my sinuses. Lately I've been waking up at 3am and taking off my headgear...

Why didn't you just get it from them to start with? The provider that originally fitted me with the ComfortGel doesn't have ComfortLites, which I first saw on cpap.com. At the time I didn't feel like I had the time to figure out how to make sure my insurance would pay for it, I just needed to try i...

That reminds me: Since I'd paid out of pocket for my ComfortLite, the insurance company doesn't officially know that I've switched masks. Hence I just received a replacement ComfortGel mask (the kind I was originally issued) in the mail. I will most likely never use that one. I guess I should notify...

Insurance

Has anyone here used billmyinsurance.com? Last time I bought a new mask on cpap.com, I just went ahead and paid out of pocket because I didn't want to spend the time going through the red tape of insurance coverage, but I think soon I might want to replace that one or get new accessories for it, and...
