small change nice result
Since going back on CPAP in Oct 2024 (put on CPAP in 1997 with a long break due to UPPP surgery) I've been working (via the two forums I'm on) to dial in my therapy to a point that it works but is as painless as CPAP can be. As of late. My therapeutic pressure has been 95% 11.5cm. So yesterday I upp...

Gee Pugsy. Maybe try a little grace instead of vitriol. Or just make it clear that folks who haven’t been on cpap for 15 yrs need not reply. Hope your Christmas was a good one!
All the best to you.
All the best to you.

Re: My next experiment....the AirSense 11 AutoSet
You are just going to have to lower the settings and see if your nose acts up. Yeah...but I shouldn't have to. I shouldn't be made to make myself ill just to keep my nose happy. When my nose acts up it is with a vengeance and I am miserable for several days. It's so much more than just an occasiona...

Re: My next experiment....the AirSense 11 AutoSet
I agree with Dog Slobber. Humidity is science. The machines humidity settings aren't science, they are an arbitrary setting. What is the medium setting mean between two differing models of electric stoves from GE? Who knows. One may burn your eggs and the other cooks them perfectly. You are just goi...

Re: Full Face Mask After Sinus Surgery?
I would think that as the VAST majority of apnea is caused by one's tongue as opposed to one's throat. That might not be a good idea. Now while I don't know about the detailed dynamics of how higher pressure air in the mouth interacts with a tongue falling into ones throat with a lower pressure down...

Re: TECSA's or?
Your numbers are excellent. I'd recommend you concentrate on getting more sleep and doing what you need to do to feel as comfortable as you can during the night. A new strap sounds like a good idea. And at this point, try focusing less on the numbers and more on how you feel during the day. Keep so...

Re: TECSA's or?
Well, what I was thinking is that it is *possible* you had just as many CAs during your in-lab test but they weren't scored. *If* that were the case, your current CAs would not be treatment-emergent. No way to know, though. Last night I dropped my EPR from 2 to 1. Had zero CA's, 1 RERA and 2 Hypopn...

Re: TECSA's or?
About your in-lab test: it's my understanding that when these tests are scored, pauses in breathing that occur when you're awake are not counted. That is my understanding as well. I have seen my CA's go from numerous when I started (obvious TECSA's) to very few over the last few months. Then they u...

Re: TECSA's or?
That makes more sense. I have had some issues recently after my TURP in Sep. It was all going so well. Quick recovery no incontinence. Peeing like I was 20 again. Then about 10 days ago. I got a minor UTI. Took care of that. Then a very small amount of incontinence (leaking) started up. So I had a l...

Re: TECSA's or?
Those are NOT treatment emergent central apneas. AND? I didn't have any in my sleep lab. Just a bad night or something else? I have been drinking a LOT of coffee lately and three days ago decided to stop. Of course with my luck it's heart failure. Seems like every time I fix one thing, two others p...

TECSA's or?
Posted this in the other forum. I've finally been getting used to my treatment and have been logging a lot more hours on the mask. Def less tired as of late. But as we can see from the posted charts from the last three nights. My CA's are hanging on (albeit at a low overall AHI) So I'm not too fusse...

Re: ResMed N30 "Seal" Problems
Might the actual mask support structure (frame) have become damaged over time in that area and this stresses the new insert after a time? The mask frame might need replacing.

chin strap idea
I used this last night and it worked a treat as a chin restraint. It's called a BUFF. I bought one years ago (2007) as a motorcycle helmet liner. I would wet it then put it on and the helmet vents letting in air would provide a good deal of cooling. It can be used as a light winter hat or a neck sca...

New record for mask time
Had a big ole sleep last night. 9.25 hrs on the mask. my flow rate waves looked a lot less ragged. I also decided to try sleeping on my left side. My wife is to my left so I stay on my right so she doesn't hear any mask noise. But I should try to mix it up a little to not get petrified from not movi...

Re: Need a prescription?
Yet I ordered the F40 mask over the interwebs in the USA and didn't have to provide squat other than my credit card number. Yet that doesn't mean that those interweb sellers aren't breaking the law. I guess some internet sellers just don't bother with laws. I think it is a stupid law. Like who in t...
