Breathing problem

Post by garyland » Mon Sep 26, 2005 6:28 am

More so when I am on my back and relaxed, I find that I have a problem more on my exhale than inhale. It feels as though I have a one-way valve that stops my exhale. Does anyone experience this?

Umm, yeah. It is called "obstructive sleep apnea". That's why we're here.

I always thought that with SA the problem was on the inhale not on the exhale.

Gary I have this problem. I have to keep my Cflex setting at max or I get them on exhale as well. Luckily I haven't had to turn the CFLEX all the way off.

I always thought it was only inhaling. When I asked my doctor he looked confused and said it was only on inhale - but obviously he is wrong. If I doze off without my mask, sleeping face up... I'll wake up sometimes and find that I am unable to exhale (kind of like a valve closing) I try to force air out and it won't come out. Soon as I jump up thinking Im' gonna die , problem goes away.

Anyway, doesn't happen to me much since I always put my mask on now, even for a nap.

So what C-flex number do you use...1, 2 or 3?

Thanks,
Gary
