AHI = 0, First Time
AHI = 0, First Time
While I only slept 4.5 hrs (too stressed to fall asleep), my AHI this morning was 0...wow! First time since getting the APAP in early Nov (who knows whether I had any using my dumb CPAP, tend to doubt it based on how much better I am feeling physically, depression is 'nother story & based on no job). I'm so excited! Wakeups are down to 1 or 2 per night and some nights none. As of this morning, I've now lost 55#s. All good stuff. Hadda come tell my hosehead family...no one else knows what a big deal a 0 AHI is, not even doc's new PA I saw this morning for quarterly blood tests.

Re: AHI = 0, First Time
Yes. A perfect 0. Kind of like a hole in 1 in golf, only better. AI of 0 is very impressive, but an AHI of 0? Better check your machine. Now, go for two nights in a row.

Congrats, Muse!
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.
Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy.

Re: AHI = 0, First Time
Congrats, Muse-Inc!!! I've found with a Zero AHI, I'm refreshed with less sleep. Nice feeling, huh? What a particularly get excited about is the BIG ZIPPO on 'Avg daily time in Apnea'.
I just love it when I wake up, I stretch my muscles. My muscles say 'Were ready to go!!'. I can actually think clearly and best of all, 'I can make decisions'.
I always take note when EDS may hit. A good day, maybe an hour or two before bedtime.
Congrats, keep it going!!!!

Ahh, well, as Kenny's posted one day does not a trend make ...but having done it once, I can do it again, so it's still encouraging and wt loss now at 57#s! My daily reminder to self: I will not think about how much more wt I have to lose instead I will remember what I have lost and celebrate!

Re: AHI = 0, First Time
Months ago, it seemed light years away. Now, zero apnea is becoming a consistent event. I've put in the minimum from my last titration and set it to Auto on my Bipap.
After studying my Sleep Studies, I came to the conclusion REM sleep will never be accounted for under those circumstances. Auto setting seems to be tackling those REM events.
Auto setting is also tagging flow limitation, which I'm taking a particular interest.
Congrats on the weight loss. I knocked off 40 lbs, but with the move, we were without a kitchen, I've settled back. Hard to get started again.
P.S. Whole lot of expensive software out there to assist in weight loss. http://fitday.com is free and does everything and more if your interested. After keeping track of intake, easy to isolate where problems were occurring. Sounds like your doing great none the less...
Take care and congrats,
SG
