I took my machine in today to the DME for my compliance check-up. I just took it out of the bag to use it tonight and got this message: Data Re-writing to SD Card. Press yes to continue. It gives the option to press yes or no. I don't know what this means. I may take the card out tonight if I don't find an answer before I go to bed. It will still keep the data, right? If anyone knows what this means, please help and tell me which to choose. I'm guessing the answer is "yes" but I don't want to mess anything up by guessing!
Thank You Again!

If the SD card is not in the machine all night then you lose detailed data. The machine stores some usage and summary statistics on it's internal memory and that data will get put back on the SD card (or even a new SD card) when the card gets inserted but it can't put onto the SD card what it doesn't store.
Let the machine do it's thing and don't worry about it. Not much you can do about it anyway.
The data that the DME would want...is always on the machine.
Odd that it would want to do this re-write thing after a visit to the DME/doc unless their software or computer did something to the SD card. Even if they did cause it...again there's nothing you can do about it.
Tell it "yes" and let it do its thing and sleep tight. You want the SD card in so that you can get the full detailed graphs for tonight and that's the only way you can get it.
If you are using SleepyHead and don't have those detailed data files SleepyHead can't even figure out summary usage and will show a big goose egg for a night the SD card hasn't been in the machine. I had one just last week because I forgot to put the SD card back in my S9 after downloading to software.

Well I pressed yes and it said "erasing data. Please wait". I guess it doesn't matter as long as I imported this morning to Sleepyhead (I did) and the DME got his report. I hope!

True about needing the info for my reports on Sleepyhead. I forgot about that! Thanks!

Re: S9 Message: Data Re-writing to SD card, press yes to continu
Something the DME did at the office changed the SD card.
Whenever the SD card gets changed (even tiny change) the S9 will react this way. That's why we tell people with Macs and Windows 8 computers to lock the SD card as sometimes the SD card gets a little tiny file added to it....doesn't really hurt the data but the S9 sees that the SD card doesn't look like it expects it to look and will spit it out. I had mine do that once when I had to use my SD card for something else...so I copied the contents onto my hard drive and then I put it back on the SD card after was done with it and had erased the card. For some reason the file structure got changed when I put the contents back onto the SD card. One file should have been the first file and it ended up being the second file...and the S9 spit it out. Just having a file out of place can cause it.
The S9 stores the basic summary usage (hours of use, AHI, and I think leak) for 1 year on its internal memory so that data goes right back on to the blank (S9 erased the card) SD card. That's all that DMEs normally want to see anyway.
So even if your DME loses what they got today...they can get it again.
