Re: Need advice about Dreamwear mask

I had the problem with headgear riding up also.

What I worked out was the hoops that hold the headgear are in a position that wants to lift the headgear up. This cause by the main head band being to forward on the head, I.e to small.
I resolved this by up sizing the main head band.

Hope this helps.

Sleep is when the brains waste is drained

Recent discoverys therorise that the brains waste can only be drained while at sleep. Watch this TED clip it's quite thought provoking. http://www.ted.com/talks/jeff_iliff_one_more_reason_to_get_a_good_night_s_sleep?utm_campaign=ios-share&utm_medium=social&source=email&utm_source=email Perhaps this ...

Re: Nasal pillows are hurting me bigtime

Nasal pillows are like new shoes. (for me any way) You need to break them (or you) in. I have 2 pairs of Nasal pillows, P10 and Pilairo Q plus I have a Nasal mask a N10. The N10 is to rest my nose from the pillows, I have use it to harden my nose plus its a good safe backup if need be. I use Lansino...

Re: Love to sleep on my side but...

Thanks for your replys. They have got me thinking. Pugsy >Are you trying to avoid back sleeping because it creates the potential for the apnea events to be worse? No I’m currently only avoiding sleeping on my side because of this issue, Its common to find my self on my side when I wake. My apneas ev...

Love to sleep on my side but...

I naturally want to sleep on my side but the trouble is I get a sore back and are uncomfortable in the belly region in the morning for some time then it dissipates. Re: P10 clogging up in winter

Resolved... Replace the P10 with a F&P Pilario Q and what a delight surprise this mask is. Not only does it not clog up in colder air but it's really comfortable, the P10 relies on upward pressure on your nose to seal the air pressure while the pilairo wraps around your nose in a cushion of air it's...

Re: Fisher and Paykel Icon+ Not working on battery

I would only use a pure sine wave inverter! Modified sine wave can damage the humdifier as the power regulating circuit requires a senusiodal (pure) waveform. Anyway today the price difference is small so get a 500watt pure sine wave then you can run the humdifier, you just need some decent battery'...

Re: F&p icon water temp?

My icon A does it too. I checked the paperwork with my machine and it it's normal. the answer to the question involves philosophical and metaphysical questions that are higher than my paygrade. Why is this site dominated by resmed and respironics fanatics? Because they have the biggest market share...

Re: F&p icon water temp?

RTFM
In the fine icon manual it explains the power supply sits under the humidifier so if you leave your icon on when not use it warms the chamber a little.

Re: Software with F&P icon ?

Yes the f&p icon utilises a usb memory stick but it's a special design made to fit so it's proprietary. And I concur the data is actually held in the machine and copied to the usb so the data is not lost with no usb or when a new usb is inserted. I also agree with the others sleepyhead is the best t...

Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread

My 50 cents worth Love this mask for it minimalism approach, it's quiet and seals my longish nostrils which some masks struggle with. My nose is sensitive and my nose can just survive the nightly P10s masks tightness required to maintain a seal.(I have an average size head and the straps are almost ...

P10 clogging up in winter

We are in the grips of winter down here in New Zealand. My room temp could drop to 13C (56F) if I let it. I have found the resmed p10 exhaust vents clogging up with moisture quite easily. I now know when this happens pretty quickly as my f&p icon auto ramps up unexpectedly or I wake up gasping. I be...
