Sleepyhead Software

Post by volley13 » Sun Jul 27, 2014 6:27 pm

Hi,

I've seen a number of posts about Sleepyhead software, and I'm wondering if there's any additional software or hardware equipment that I'll need. I'm very interested in the ability to track and monitor my sleep. I use a 2007 iMac desktop.

thanks!

I am not familiar with Macs...much less an iMac but SleepyHead is the only software for these machines that has a Mac version available. Respironics has the Encore software available (various versions) but they are all Windows only. No Mac version at all so no way to use it unless someone puts Windows on the Mac.

In general if your computer has a slot available for SD cards that shows up as a drive letter then nothing else is needed.
If your computer doesn't have a slot for SD cards then a little SD card reader/adapter is needed so that you can use one of the USB ports. Doesn't have to be a fancy card reader though....cheap generic will work.

RobySue has a Mac so she may be able to offer more specific thoughts about a 7 year old iMac. See what she says here.

SleepyHead has a Mac version but I don't know what the deal is with the iMac.

Which OSX are you using? And if you can answer in NUMBERS (10.*.**) instead of big cat names that will help me a lot.

In general SleepyHead works pretty well on most Macs that have an intel chip inside.
