Commercially available Hose Hangers - Which is best?

Post by photonic » Thu Jul 24, 2014 11:25 pm

Been checking out hose hangers. I am not interested in making my own and want to buy a commercially available one. I notice the HoseBuddy sold "you know where" that gets good reviews but also a thinner model that seems to have a lot of breakage problems in the reviews called the CPAP Hose Lift. There is also another brand sold elsewhere called the CPAP hose holder that also has breakage problems on the part that slides under your mattress.

What commercially available hose hanger do you use, why, and what has been your experience with it?

Thanks for your input on this PAP trivia question!

I use the Hose Buddy. It breaks down and fits easily in my suitcase. There's nothing on the Hose Buddy that is flimsy. I cannot see it breaking. Get the Hose Buddy. You won't regret it.

I've been using this for three years. The 3M command strips make it very easy to take with on trips. I should get a spare for my travel bag.

I put a roll of duck tape in my bag; also silicone rubber bands or ponytail scrunchies.
The fishing pole stays up at home, but when we switch houses, maybe I'll use this:

It was too tall for my brother's camper, so I left it home this year.

2nd vote for the Hose Buddy - https://www.cpap.com/productpage/HoseBu ... ystem.html I bought mine two years ago and couldn't be happier with it.

It is super strong and made in the USA. Using steel from the USA and skilled manufacturing in North Carolina, HoseBuddy Systems provides an unbeatable product.

Thanks so far everybody - all great advice. My DME sells a device called the Hozer which is referenced at our sponsor's site but no longer sold there due to expense. (~$50), but it gets great reviews. Any users here?

Have a great weekend !

The cozy hose boss or just google command strip hooks model 17067 and use with a rubber band or hair scrunchie.
Command strip hooks 17067 are available in so many places including Walmart. Fits in a shirt pocket so no trouble to toss in a suitcase travel bag or use at home.

You can't beat this one which is placed between the mattress and the box spring. when the cleaners come, every 2 weeks, it takes me 5 minutes to collapse it into a size of half a shoe box. the only problem with this ingenious design is that I myself have not invented it.

p.s. if you want your air hose going horizontally (the way I like it) then tie a shoe lace to hold the hose below the hook. A 6 foot hose is plenty long.

costs: $8.75 plus $4.39 for shipping

thanks to Nate who told me about it

I have two of these, one for home and the other packed for travel. The only drawback in that the ends of the metal sections have a little sharp edge and this has a tendency to scratch stuff. I solved that by getting some clear 1/4 inch vinyl hose at Home Depot and cutting short pieces to cover the junctions between sections.

Great product.
