Re: Beer and sleep apnea

Instead of drinking a beer or two before you go to bed, have you considered just drinking them when you wake up? You could enjoy a few and they should have no impact on your sleep later in the day. I'd stop drinking around noon, just to be sure everything is out of your system by bed time. I served ...

Re: New and just saying Hi!

Welcome to the forum. I'm a recent newbie myself. Here are some ideas: 1) Reading up is an excellent idea. You'll get scorched by certain members if you don't. You seem to be on the ball, I think you have nothing to worry about; 2) Don't resurrect really old threads - they are called Zombie threads ...

Re: What is the difference between Auto Climate Control and Manual?

Auto humidity setting on the AirSense machine is equal to roughly a setting of 4 if going manual. It's around 85%. I imagined that Auto meant that it automatically varied. It doesn't make sense to me (maybe I'm overthinking it) that Auto would equate to a fixed setting. I had hoped that Auto would ...

What is the difference between Auto Climate Control and Manual?

Hi - I have a ResMed Airsense 10 with humidifier. After reading a number of posts here that indicate many get a head full of snot, sorry, get congested, I thought, gee, that might be why I get a lot of sinus headaches at 0-dark thirty in the morning. So I checked and found my machine was set to Auto...

Re: Study finds free CPAP machines save on truckers’ other medical costs

And yet... I have family members with a CDL. There has been a lot of concern about truck drivers who have sleep apnea losing their CDL. We're talking about it in the family quite a bit these days. Our concern is that in the near future, a diagnosis of Sleep Apnea will result in the loss of the CDL, ...

Re: UK advice please

Most practitioners in the NHS now work to 5 or under, regardless of other conditions. Most of the regular contributors to this forum – and also the author of Sleepyhead – have better ambitions than that :) – and say 2 or under. As to wanting to sleep more, some people do find that, once they get CP...

Re: Impossible to get used to

Hi: I thought I'd check the facts: BrianC created an account this morning at 01:52AM. He posted his comment about his machine. He was last active twelve minutes later. Cut and pasted from his profile: Joined:12 Nov 2019 01:52 Last active:12 Nov 2019 02:04 One can picture him waking up the first nigh...

This is curious. So the good doctor looks down your windpipe. What changes in the therapy would occur based on the findings? Full disclosure - I didn't watch the video.

Re: Headgear causing migraine - Would like recommendations, please

Interestingly enough I tried a number of tension settings on my straps. Many times I found I had rolled over, pressing the mask on the pillow, putting more tension on one side of the headgear than the other. Sometimes that was enough to rub me the wrong way, literally, sometimes not. I think what I ...

Re: forgot to reinstall SD card

Okay, so this is Veteran's day and all, I wouldn't normally post this, but hey. I spent a lot of time in the Military. All the ribbing that goes on here isn't Sh**. You want to get ribbed? We call it getting Smoked in the Army. That is some professional level "ribbing". We do it when someone drops t...

Ah, yes, it is my failure to read. I apologize. Don't take it personally. You certainly suggested it first.

I stand corrected.

A few random ideas with the F20. There is an anti-leak strap available from pad-a-cheek. This has worked well for me in terms of reducing leaks; I think a few folks here have tried using the AmaraView strap with the F20.
I'll go look at these products. Thanks for the suggestions.
