DeVilbiss IntelliPAP users, help with water tank please
I'd like to clean the water tank but I don't seem to be able to get it open. Any tips or tricks? I feel like I'm using more force than should be necessary and I don't want to break it. The unit is only about 7 weeks old and even brand new I couldn't get the tank open. It just hinges in half, correct?

last time I uploaded a video to youtube, there was a "do you want us to unshakey that for you?" question... they shoulda said "yes"... or possibly worn a sweather, cuz it looks like the camera person was shivering.

Blair witch--that's cute.

PR S1 humidifiers have a weird little trick to get the lid off the humidifier's lower basin. It's obvious once you know the trick but annoying until you figure it out (or somebody tells you). You have to put your forefinger down into the lid using the outlet hole, then pinch the opposing rim edge of the lid with your thumb... do it firmly and then the lid pops right off.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

hrm, should this be another minor plus for the resmeds? Now that you have it open, to clean mine I use a tooth brush to get into the small channels and corners, with some mild dish soap, and then I put it into the dish washer with the heater turned off in the dry cycle. About every fourth or fifth cleaning I will rinse it with nine parts distilled water, one part white vinegar, and then let dry. I found this helps keep the little "floaties" from forming in the water.

Thanks. I'll be popping mine open soon. No floaties yet.

Re: DeVilbiss IntelliPAP users, help with water tank please
Tell me about it ResMeds have a superior ease of cleaning and filling ability. Love that aspect. However there is one glaringly huge caveat... ResMed machines can't do PR's Classic Mode <search forum for details> (the old style of mega warm humidity). That's kind of a deal breaker for me. Gotta have my equatorial super-heated humid air coming down my hose cuz I'm a mouth breather. Case in point: I literally use a tank and a half of distilled water a night... believe it or notpalerider wrote:hrm, should this be another minor plus for the resmeds? Re: DeVilbiss IntelliPAP users, help with water tank please
Got the tank open last night. No slime, no floaty things, just distilled water. I let it dry out and filled it back up. I'm sure things will change as the weather does.
