They love to help put up the tree, and climb the tree, and eat it, and sniff it, and lay underneath it, and especially they like the treats they found under it!

My youngest one, Geordi, the mischief maker loves to lay on the skirt as far under the tree as possible. Wesley, the older one, on the other hand will lay down just off the skirt. For some reason he doesn't like the material I guess.
Caught Geordi licking the tree trunk earlier. Little monster, he will lick ANYTHING. He licked the kitchen cabinet door this morning

Re: OT: Kitties helping put up the Christmas Tree
One year my son found a little kitten in the woods. It refused to use a litter box and crapped under the Christmas tree. I moved the litter box under the tree but he still wouldn't use it. He became an outdoor kitty.

Awwww my cats take turns laying under the tree on the tree skirt. It so funny that they love to do that!

Re: OT: Kitties helping put up the Christmas Tree
We lived full time in our motor home for eleven years but are now snowbirds and spending the winter in AZ. We have a small pre-decorated Christmas tree that attracts a lot of attention from our two cats. It sits on the dash.
Katie, the one that is a year old came from a shelter in Phoenix last winter and spent the first five months of her time with us in the motor home and had to adapt to the house. The second one, Kelli - from a shelter in Grand Junction CO - spent the first five months of her time with us in the house and has had to adapt to the motor home. That has been interesting in both cases.
They are both doing well but are sure that we need help with whatever we are doing. The older one will sit and watch me work on something (plumbing for example) for as long as I am doing it. The younger one thinks she needs to be involved - just watching is not good enough.
