No, when I saw the video I had a mouth guard that I bought for no particular reason, and that night I tried it and it worked. This is what I have. It really keeps the bottom jaw forward....

My pressure is not high, 8-11, but I was getting some mean leaks when I first used the FFM. Since I started using liners or the mouth guard, all leaks are gone.
