Re: extremely tired all the time. need advice.

Sorry Dorlow. I am a non-snorer with Apnea myself. To be fair it was 3am my time when I wrote that. Lots of tired and cranky and pain. I try not to post in that state... My mom has that worry every night for my dad though. I am surprised you didn't get the point where the headaches lifted though...t...

Re: Airmony CPAP

That one's design would set off panic attacks no problem for anyone with clausterphobia. Having that big panel right in front of the eyes is like the MRI tube but even worse. Just letting you know, doc. Neat idea to have the usb power draw, but the mask/device set up has my skin crawling. I will kee...

Re: OT: Anyone reversed proteinuria?

I had it after a run of kidney stones, though mildly.

Nephrologist said eat a moderate protein diet. 12 oz a day is where I have found my limit without getting sick is.

I would really get in to see a nephrologist though, my experience is not yours. And kidneys are important.

Re: Mask change to Amara View

Amara View is the only FFM that works for me so far. I love that it hasn't set off a panic attack from claustrophobia. Swift FX with Bella loops are my main, but the View is my backup when I am too congested for nasal pillows. It is so nice to have the option of a backup now. I am happy you found yo...

Re: CPAP.Com selling PRS! 60 Series Auto at $314

Arrrrrrrgh I am waiting for my repeat study, I would buy that for a backup in a heartbeat if I had a current script! Call your doctor's office and tell them that you have an opportunity to get a very low cost top-of-the-line machine, but you need some kind of prescription for it. Really impress upo...

Re: My Resmed Airsense Auto is HAUNTED

I ended up putting some post-its and then a layer of a bit of fabric over my s9 to block the light at night why? it goes off after a few seconds of use ??? Because even those few seconds annoy the living cheese out of me at 3am, mostly. The rest of the time I don't really care. 3am wakeups annoy me...

Re: Noncompliant Failure

Oh! The compliance? They don't actually care how many times you turn the machine on or off. They look at the total amount of time the machine is used in a 24 hour cycle. That's it. So if you sleep an hour awake an hour whatever they don't care. Your sleep doc will care but insurance won't. Hopefully...

Re: Anyone with Fibromyalgia and sleep APNEA?

Another option would be the Swift FX with Bella Loops. It just loops around your ears and so the headgear is very very minimal as a result. I already have a TMJ bite guard thingy or I would use the TAP-PAP but the Bella Loops for the Swift FX are nearly as good

Re: Having a new problem with Liberty Hybrid mask

Just an FYI, the Amara View is a FFM released fall 2015 and it doesn't go over the bridge of your nose. Since it is new, thought I would let you know it exists. It is the only one that fits my face and doesn't set off claustrophobia so far out of FFM. And it plays nicely with my TMJ bite guard. Migh...

Re: any suggestions for power outages.

Hm...sounds like the DME was full of it again then as that is why they tried to steer me away from a computer UPS. What a surprise

Very comfortable with computer parts but medical not so much, I limit where I tinker given my lack of back up machine.

But hey. Learn something new every day.

Re: any suggestions for power outages.

If you are dealing with just short power outages in a residential setting you may be able to use a computer uninterruptible power supply (UPS)--the larger and heavier they are, the longer they will provide power during an outage. These are smooth enough of a waveform to use? Oh, man, I am gonna get...

Re: FF Masks For TMJ

Give the Amara View a shot. I can wear my TMJ bite splint with it pretty comfortably. And it is the only one that also hasn't set off panic attacks for me. I can still wear my glasses once it is on which helps a lot.
