can you prove where you were at 1 am a month ago Tuesday?

Post by sleepyb » Sun Apr 20, 2014 2:55 pm

Answer YES!
I was accused earlier this year of being somewhere I wasn't and doing something I didn't do. As ridiculous as it was, and even though there was no evidence except two questionable witnesses, it was actually pursued and I ended up in court
Den (wolfman) in one of his posts years ago had mentioned that he keeps all his sleep reports just in case he gets in an accident or needs to prove he is using cpap.
I thought that was a good idea and do the same, so when the judge asked me where I was on these dates at these times I said I was asleep and had the packet of reports to prove it!
The case was dismissed!
Just another reason to love CPAP!

Wow, now there's a real life story in a situation where "I was home asleep" would have not been deemed credible defense. We'll probably be seeing one of these scenarios in one of the crime dramas one day.

OK, I am curious.

Just how did you get the mask to stay on the dog that night?

Of course you could have been using your CPAP while plugged into a battery pack or plugged into the 12v battery of your auto, all the while cavorting around town getting into all kinds of trouble. Just kidding <wink, wink, nudge, nudge>

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

HOLY CRAP!!! That sounds scary!

But, I'm glad to hear that some folks do take my advice.......occasionally.
And, that it worked out well for YOU.

But it would be hard to hide the changes in your breathing when the Sheriff pulled you over! Where is he, BTW? Thought he would have commented on this thread ...

Yes, wulfman,
Thanks to your suggestion I was able to prove that it wasn't me.
I wasn't sure the court would allow it into evidence, but they did.

Yes, my dog does snore a lot, but I haven't taken her for a sleep study yet, so I wouldn't know what pressure to use. Also, the mask leaks would be hard to deal with let alone trying to tape her mouth shut.

We know you tweaked your data, where were you really, and what were you up to. Lucky big brother didn't get you on camera. Jim
