gettting rid of bad data, setting sleep time in resmed

Post by space45 » Sun Apr 20, 2014 9:52 am

I have great AHI if I can get rid of the events that are when I am awake. I have like 2 or 3 of the smallest of events while I am asleep, but my wake time is crammed full of events raising my over all AHI but time, still under 5, and some times under 3, but should be more like 0.1 or 0.2. one can hardly count sleep apnea events that happen when one is not asleep.

I have yet to find out how to set the sleep time in resmeds program, have not tried yet in sleepy head

would love to trim out the awake data.

The machines do not know if you are asleep or awake; they only know if you're breathing. I don't think you can set it to do what you want to do.

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

Those wake events may still be causing significant de-sats -- mine have. I can get mini CSR-like episodes right before falling asleep and my sats ping-pong up and down -- many times into the low to mid 80's...

The best thing to do is to reset the machine (turn the machine off and on again) while you are awake or after you wake up. That way you can tell Sleepyhead to ignore sessions shorter than X minutes.

I can usually feel those episodes and am able to reset my machine before completely falling asleep.
