SD adapter needed?

Post by carojae » Fri Apr 18, 2014 12:51 pm

Hi, i recently purchased a PR System One REMStar 60 Series auto cpap. It uses a SD card for recording information.
1. Do I need to buy a adapter for the SD card or can I just plug the SD card directly into my laptop SD slot?
2. If not, can I use my old Encore USB Reader/Writer that I purchased for my old M series cpap machine? *

*I read that they were trying to make this older reader/writer encore USB system adapt to the newer PR System One REMStar 60 Series machines.

The SD card slot in your laptop should work just fine for reading the card.

The old Encore USB card reader for the M-series won't work---it reads the proprietary card used in the M-series as far as I know.

If your computer has a working SD slot drive that is all you need. Just plug the SD card into that slot.

The Smart Card reader that worked with your M series machine is not compatible with the new System One machines using the SD cards.

Which software are you using? If Encore which version? If one of the older versions you may need to update your Encore version.

I downloaded sleepyhead I think because of a post by you Pugsy. I have never used it yet but would like to try so I can show the coast guard my continued use of this machine. Haha.
The other machine I had used didn't have the capability to record that I bought the Encore reader for. I guess maybe I can sell it on ebay or something.
