First Compliance Visit... and Thanks to All!

Post by Jack_Russel_Fan » Fri Apr 18, 2014 10:26 am

Had my first compliance visit to my family doctor last week and all went well.

Before the visit, I printed out the summary, overview graphs, and oximetry graphs from SleepyHead and took them with me, not knowing how my doctor would react to me using this information and monitoring my own data.

His nurse was glad to see them ,and he was thrilled to see them and asked if he could put them into my records. Of course I said yes. Apparently, this was a lot more data than the DME sent him. I asked him if he would like me to bring data from SleepyHead to all my visits and he said he would love it! He inquired where i got SleepyHead and I showed him the URL on the report and told him it was free software.

Also, I asked for an DME authorization so I could buy a backup Bipap, and a prescription for an O2 concentrator, so I could buy my own equipment ( I hate paying rental fees for something I need for the rest of my life! ). He gladly gave them to me!

A big thank you goes out to jedimark and pugsy for the software and tutorials. Another thank you to the forum, and all its members for all the info and support.

Tom
