Resmed S9 travel bag alternatives

Post by EmberMike » Wed Apr 16, 2014 8:53 pm

I'm expecting to do some traveling with my CPAP and one of the things that's bothered me about my S9 is the junky travel bag. It's ok, but not ideal really. I'd be interested in getting something a little better quality, made with more durable materials. I'm specifically looking to do some camping and would like a bag that will hold up better to the outdoor elements.

Any suggestions? Are there any good bags out there for an S9? With or without space for the humidifier...

Thanks

Ebay has quite a selection. I've also seen them on
Craigslist and Amazon.

Mike, I think it is whatever works for you. I've traveled on trains, ships, and planes with mine and because I like to keep the things I carry to a minimum I rarely carry my machine, mask, and equipment in a separate bag. Sometimes I carry it in a backpack with other overnight stuff and sometimes I pack it in my checked bags with my clothes (something many others on the forum are not comfortable doing for fear of loss or damage). I do always place the equipment in ziplock bags, though. Gallon size each for the machine and hose, and quart size for the mask. After that, it's wherever I can stow it to be the least burdensome to carry and get to if I'm going to need it.
A little off the subject, but I've never had a problem with it through security. If it's in carry on, I just leave it in the bag and run it through the x ray with everything else. I've never been asked about it.
