Re: Sleep Apnea May Be Linked to Poor Bone Health
Wow Last year I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 5 years after OSA diagnosis. I am going to my primary for physical I will certainly mention this as I have also been experiencing bone loss in my jaw according to my dentist. OSA is a terrible disease!

One more reason why I'm glad to have weaned myself of colas--even when I "needed" caffeine to feel human.
Phosphoric acid, now present in colas, has been identified as being an accelerator of osteoporosis.
My bone density rivals that of a woman half my age.
My MIL drank 4-5 cans of Diet Coke daily for years, her spine virtually crumbled around her spinal cord,
causing weakness, loss of feeling and incontinence--not to mention excruciating pain.
Coffee does not have the same effect, but I was no coffee drinker.
--and my mother-in law was never diagnosed with apnea, despite numerous hospitalizations.
