Re: Any tips for dry mouth?
Dry mouth has nothing to do with humidity, filters, type of mask or temperature of the air or the water. It is due to mouth breathing only, whether it be exhaling or inhaling. My dry mouth is due to recirculation of air into my nose then out my mouth because my tongue drops back and exposes the airw...

F&P Eson Nasal Masks
I have used nasal pillow rigs for years and decided I would try something new, so I bought an Eson. Since then I have acquired two more. I've been using them for about six months, so all are relatively new, since I rotate weekly. There's nothing wrong with them, I just prefer my old standby, the Mir...

I measure 28" as well. I have three Ruby Red straps and they are XL. They work well for me.

Re: Chin straps
I have the very same problem. I tried a couple of chin straps and they did not work correctly. I started taping my mouth, since I had very dry mouth. The taping was really a pain, but worked well. Then a member here recommended the Ruby Red chinstrap. For me, it tends to do a better job than the oth...

Re: Change from Mirage Swift II nasal pillows to ???
This is my post from Feb.10; I took Minky's advice and bought an Eson nasal mask. I have been using a Mirage Swift II nasal pillow system for about ten years. I have a pinched nerve in my neck and must sleep on three pillows. The Swift II was not aligning right and would wake me up leaking several t...

Best Nasal Mask
I've been using nasal pillows for years and have been thinking about trying a nasal mask. Any advice from users as to which models fit good, seal up better than most and are "less leaky"? Thanks a lot.

Re: How to stop mouth opening, to use nasal pillows effectively?
I cured my problem with the Ruby Red chinstrap worn OVER my nasal pillow head gear. Keeps the pillow head gear in place all night. Best cpap solution I ever discovered, since I taped up for a long time. No more tape, no more dry mouth. Try it; it just might work for you as well.

Re: Taping Shut Chipmunk Cheeks
As an "ex taper", it is not dangerous, just a pain in the butt. If you decide to tape, 3M Blue painter's tape works well and leaves no adhesive residue. I use a Swift II and also experience dry mouth. I finally found out about and bought a Ruby Red chinstrap and wear it over the straps of my mask. I...

Re: Woken by dry mouth
I had the same problem. Had severe dry mouth. I taped for some time. It worked, but I got sick of the tape. Ruby red chin strap fairly tight put on over the mask headgear. No more problems with leaks or dry mouth. Something you might consider.

Re: Swift FX Headgear
My Ruby Red chin strap goes on after the mask head gear and holds it in place, but you might not want to go that far if you don't have a mouth breathing problem. Works great for me.

Nasal Pad Leaks
I have been using Swift II Nasal Masks for many years and I like them very much. However, the nasal pads do leak some as I turn back and forth during the night. Also, I have had dry mouth due to recirculation for a while, waking up needing a drink two or three times a night. I taped up for a few mon...

Re: Teeth misalignment due to CPAP
Tom, I had the same thing, only with my bottom two center teeth. I have been on cpap for twenty years. My dentist told me the movement of my bottom teeth is due to deterioration of the ligaments holding the teeth to the bone, a function of age. He showed me on an x-ray. I don't know if the same thin...

Sheffey, why is that? Gimmee MEAT! Slaughter 'em and devour their carcass medium rare (hogs, chicken and hamburger, well done).
