So last week daughter's AHI was under 4-5 the entire week. But this week it's creeped back up. We do see her Pulmo/sleep doc on August 19. What things should I ask her?
Should we try a new mask?
Ask if she should be retitrated?
She seems to be doing good. She's sleeping really well and falls asleep almost as soon as the mask is on her face. Still doing 10 hours of therapy time a night. I personally no longer hear her horrible 'death gasps' as I call them. She used to make this god awful wheezing choke that seriously reminded me of someone's last breaths as they died.
No more snorting either!

Is that 45 a typo???SleepyonMagnoliaSt wrote:So last week daughter's AHI was under 45 the entire week. But this week it's creeped back up. We do see her Pulmo/sleep doc on August 19. What things should I ask her?
An AHI = 45 on a diagnostic sleep test lands the patient well into the "Severe OSA" category.
An AHI = 45 with CPAP means therapy is NOT WORKING and you need to get a new titration test ASAP.

Re: Up and Down AHI number
Yes it's a typo sorry. Doing this all from my phone as I'm without net currently. 4-5 is what it should have said. Anything over 1 in children is classed as mild . Daughter's original AHI during her sleep study was 7.5robysue wrote:Is that 45 a typo???SleepyonMagnoliaSt wrote:So last week daughter's AHI was under 45 the entire week. So it IS helping some.

Mild leaking but nothing crazy major that I see. But THANK you! That did remind me! One day she had a 12+ AHI and that was the night her hose disconnected so I can throw out that number. It was the only one that was completely oddDoriC wrote:Any leaking going on?
