What program should I use?
To review my daughter's data? I really have no idea where to start. Also what would work with her machine?

Check out my thread here about software choices.

It explains your choices.
If you want Encore software...send me a PM but SleepyHead does a great job and you might be totally satisfied with it.

I tried sleepyhead but it never finds any data to download? So I wasn't sure if I was doing it wrong or if I messed something up. I would follow the directions and there'd be no dataPugsy wrote:Check out my thread here about software choices.

Re: What program should I use?
The most common error when using SleepyHead is the download navigation to where the SD card sits.
Most people go into the SD card and to the P Series folder and tell SleepyHead to look in there...that's too far.
They need to stop and the drive letter where the SD card sits and that is the directory....so if anything but the drive letter is showing in the choose box....that's too far.
Go back and try again...create a new location....navigate to the drive letter where the SD card sits and stop with the drive letter itself sitting in the choose box and try that...let me know if that works.
Also...make sure that you are using SleepyHead version 0.9.3...that's the only version that works with the 60 series machine.
Make sure that you get the version of files that were put up for download on May 19...that's the full 9.3 version that works and is easiest to install and use.
Also....your computer....is it Windows or Mac?

Thank you! I have the wrong sleepyhead version! That would probably be where my problem is!Pugsy wrote:The most common error when using SleepyHead is the download navigation to where the SD card sits.

I installed sleepyhead today too (same version you just installed). I got it to load the data from he SD card no problem (Well, pull the info to at least identify the machine; I haven't actually used it yet.) Pugsy's spot on with SD card selection, you have to select the 'root' of the sdcard or it won't recognize correctly.
Looks like nifty software.

Re: What program should I use?
Version 0.9.1 can be updated/upgraded to version 0.9.3 but it takes a few steps and the Patch file part that is need is not always simple thing for some people to do. First the 9.1 version has to be updated to 9.2-1 and if 9.1 is showing...then that update has failed and that issue has to be sorted out (easy fix but just extra work) and then the Patch File replacement of the original application.exe file has to be done and then another update has to be done.
It's just easier to get the 9.3 version installed from the new download of the May 19 setup files to start with and no extra steps are involved. No extra steps means no extra work to do. I am all for "no extra work".
