Re: Micro Disposable CPAP

Since marketing may be directed for outdoors/camping use, the "disposable" feature may get it banned from national parks. Just saying. For in-flight use; genius! --if it works. Do national parks ban disposable products? I was thinking of traveling to one this summer and want to learn what may or ma...

Re: Micro Disposable CPAP

If this thing if it works it looks like a game changer -- with new technology for moving and pressurizing air using micro pumps or fans or something. That alone is a technology worth looking at. It could totally change cpap designs in the future -- masks with a small, rechargeable blower attached di...

Re: Do I Need a Titration Test?

Do you need it? Ideally, yes. It will save a lot of guess work and time, frankly. If you can afford it or get it done less expensively or get the government insurance or something to cover it then try to exhaust all your options first. Even maybe travel to a nearby country and see if they can do thi...

Icon Auto on sale 50% off? New F&P machine coming?

I just got an email from the cpapshop dot com that the Icon Auto is on sale for over 50% off MSRP for $499. CPAP dot com lists the same pricing also.

Does anyone know if this means there is finally a new F&P line coming out soon?

Re: What about colds?

You can always just place the blower outside the bedroom window and then you wont have to inhale all the indoor cold viruses from your family....

(In an ideal world... lol)

Re: Mirage Quattro Problems

Good you resized with the proper sizing gauge (should have been done by the DME at the initial fitting to begin with). That said you absolutely should not need any add-ons like gel pads with the Quattro -- the old and new Quattros have some of the best double wall cushion designs out there and press...

Re: Quick: I need a non-toxic Super Glue to glue my mask or....

Rather than trying to jerry rig something, how long is the warranty on this? If it just broke what does Resmed or the DME say? Will they replace it without having to go through gluing it (which wont really last)?

I bet if called Resmed will just take care of it.

Re: 2 masks--2 different sets of data

This issue comes up from time to time -- no clear, coherent answer. Numbers often change based on mask brand and type. Lower AHIs on FFMs or Pillows or Nasal or vice versa. Why? Unknown, although I am sure there are some engineers at PR and ResMed who know why this takes place -- it's either the fit...

Re: Ever Changing Protocol of CPAP

An Update...not much to tell, but continuing saga interesting. My hubby talked to a dr friend and to his urologist. Dr friend used to the term "breach of ethics", as he felt that my dr was trying to blackmail me with Pubertal withholding. He added that he has treated many patients with CPAP and sle...

Re: Heard of ResMed Airsense S10? (Any Good)

Why are you not eligible for an auto machine vs. a plain CPAP? Are you Canadian? On Medicare? I would recommend talking with the MD about wanting an auto machine that has full data reporting. Anything less will cause issues later on because, as many have stated previously, any changes to settings wo...

Re: CPAP BUFFS! Please help me shop

I'll save you the trouble. Get the AirSense 10 Autoset with the heated tube option. If you need a basic CPAP (not a bipap or vent or something) then absolutely get this one. If insurance is covering it (insurance pays one amount regardless of brand or model within a class of machines) then I would d...

Re: Ever Changing Protocol of CPAP

Thx one and all! Well, sadly, this is pretty much how things go here in SC. I am a native. Traveled round the state. Bozo is a good ole boy. Obamacare(no politics here, just quoting them) made them mad, so them that can go boutique and the big practices just test ya penniless, unless you are a rela...

Greatest troll ever! I hope barbslife did not overthink this thing like the forum, and managed to get it on and move on. I figure she must have since "she" has been MIA since her second post on page 1 and has never registered for an account. I don't think she was a troll -- she was probably so cree...

Re: New to CPAP and trying to find the right mask...

Hi everyone, I am new to CPAP and just got my machine about three weeks ago. My machine is the Resmed Airsense Autoset and I originally was using the Airfit N10 nasal mask but it caused sores at the bridge of my nose and irritation. Now I am using the Airfit F10 but I feel that I am not sleeping as...

Re: Problems with my IntelliPAP Machine

I was diagnosed with severe sleep apenea last month and picked out the IntelliPAP machine for it's warranty, reviews, and location of the water chamber. Until recently the machine has been great. But last Friday, I was sleeping early that morning and was awakened by one very loud beeping nose from ...
