Sleepyhead and Bluetooth Adapter
Sleepyhead and Bluetooth Adapter
I bought the bluetooth adapter for my Respironics CPAP. So far, it rarely syncs properly with the respironics iphone app. Are there any plans with the sleepyhead project to utilize this potentially useful adapter?
Are others experiencing the same problems with this adapter?

Sounds cool.
Anyone got a link to any info about this?

Jedimark, I have additional information and will PM it to you in case that it helps. Awesome!
Re: Sleepyhead and Bluetooth Adapter
This is a good step. The xpap oems should be more concerned about us the end users and make it as easy as possible for us to be involved in our treatment. Good developments make it feel less like we're getting ripped off.

Re: Sleepyhead and Bluetooth Adapter
That sounds like a potentially very nifty device.
I'd very much love to hack this majiggers protocols open and see what it can do..
I guess the real question is what data does it provide.. I'm assuming being bluetooth it's sending more than hours of use. Is it just transmitting stats stored in the system? Could it potentially add flow transmission to machines that don't record other useful data?
If it's streaming live flow data, that gets a little more interesting, but DeVilbiss Intellipap also has this and it hasn't been of much use yet. (It will one day)
If it streams events too that might have even more use... it would be useful for instance switching a IR camera on when a bit of software detects a cluster.. (or perhaps giving the patient a little electroshock therapy...
The biggest use I can see for this is better phone software. I guess the real question is what does the (albietly poorly writtten) phone software do that is bordering on useful that can be improved on?

Re: Sleepyhead and Bluetooth Adapter
Suspect the transmission includes a lot of data based on how long it takes when it transfers a single percent. The sleep mapper app shows summary level info and provides suggestions only. If the device were transferring post calculated values the transmission would be quick....which it isn't
Re: Sleepyhead and Bluetooth Adapter
So bottom line, is it worth getting, or remain with the manual SD downloads?
Any thoughts on the WiFi enabled SD cards?

Re: Sleepyhead and Bluetooth Adapter
I'd love for this bluetooth device to work with Sleephead. Any updates? Thanks for all your hard work and efforts!
