Re: Mouth Guard for teeth grinding and CPAP mask?

I had my dentist make me a mouth guard for my grinding of teeth. After several broken teeth that started after I started on CPAP. I use a full face mask and I guess trying to keep my mouth closed has caused me to grind my teeth. When this mouth guard has reached the end of its life cycle I'm going t...

Re: Water Chamber top lid keeps water on it

It's not a heated hose. My house has central air. It's always like that no matter what the humdity is outside. It's just weird that mine always has them present even 12 hours later and my mother whose room is probably 25 feet away doesn't do that.

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

I actually had an upper mouth guard that I had for when I attempted to take karate about 8 years ago. I washed it up last night and wore it. I guess it'll work.

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

Update: I am grinding my teeth. The dentist is going to send through my insurance to see if they will approve a mouthguard thingy for night. I have a small mouth so I hope this works. I have no idea if they will. It's Humana Dental Rider insurance.

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

I had a home sleep test so I didn't have anything attached to my jaw; just my forehead and my nose. I do think that I'm clenching my jaw though. I actually couldn't get in today but tomorrow I'll ask the dentist if she thinks I'm grinding my teeth.

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

Just to bring to life an old thread. I've done it again. Chipped another tooth; munching on a Lifesaver. So apparently my teeth are senstive. I already know they are sensitive to hold/cold things they have been for a while even before the CPAP. I've probably drunk a little more pop than what I had. ...

Re: Back sleeping

I can't sleep any other way but on my back. I tried sleeping on my stomach and felt even with my CPAP mask on that I couldn't breathe. I can't sleep on my sides when I wake up in the morning my hands are completely numb.

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

Yeah I've given up the Nerd and Gobstoppers since the last chipped tooth. I was only buying hard candy when I'd get a sore throat but I'd still end up chomping the candy up. Then I purchased Tic-Tacs....bad bad thing. I'm going to give those up too. My allergy medicine probably don't really help the...

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

I don't think I grind my teeth. My dentist hasn't mentioned it before. I'll ask when I go Monday.

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

So that's why I sprained my ankle 2 months ago and it still hurts!!! . Seriously I did do that but it wasn't caused by my sleep apnea it was caused by a chunky 38 year old thinking she could jump down off of something like she was 10 years younger. I was just curious if there could be a corelation. ...

Re: Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

Hey now I brush twice a day usually use mouth wash at night. I usually don't floss...I usually forget. I go to my dentist once a year sometimes 2 times when my schedule allows it. I do like candy though and junk food. I gave up mountain dew a long time ago and only drink it when they come out with G...

Teeth chipping off and sleep apnea

Hello all, I it's been a while since I've posted; I've been busy. Anyway I've had this happen twice since I've been using my cpap. Re: How is Obama Care going to impact CPAP?

Next year I think my employer will probably drop our healthcare. We only have 20 workers so we don't even have to have insurance. We changed insurance companies this year and it's not quite as good as before. We only pay 25% of the premium per month @ $126 a month and that includes eye and dental. F...
