OT: Looking for online forums for ischemic stroke

Post by ellen1159 » Sun Mar 15, 2015 3:05 pm

Hi everybody. Haven't posted here for a long time, things are going well with my CPAP treatment.

My ex-husband suffered a stroke last week and my young-adult kids are taking care of everything (he never remarried). I am looking for online information about symptoms, treatments, prevention of subsequent stroke. Do you know of any sites similar to cpaptalk.com that cover stroke and TIA?

This has been a shock to all of us and I'd like to educate myself on what to expect. He's still in the hospital, was in a sub-acute room, then moved to a rehab floor, then today he's been moved back to more intense care (regression). The regression is scaring the hell out of my children.

Thanks.

Actually, I'm looking for a general-interest, general audience forum/board for stroke victims, so I can learn a bit more about what to expect. Thanks anyway!

Ellen,

Perhaps a search on Google with the term "Stroke support forum" will supply better links.
I hope all goes well for you.

http://www.strokeboard.net/ was helpful for me after my significant other had an ischemic stroke at 33.
