I'm a side sleeper with nasal congestion as well. I prefer to use a full face mask. I switch off between the Resmed Quattro and the F&P 431. Both are great masks.

What a DME get reimbursed is based on HCPC code E0601. All CPAPs fall within this code. According to the government, there isn't a medical need for CPAPs that provide compliance data, efficacy data, or auto-titrating. I haven't seen a study that says these more expensive CPAPs work better than a bas...

Today I got the Resmed fitting chart they FedEx to me I take a medium UMFFM and appears I will need same on the quattro mask. They said they were different but for me looks like really really clos...

[quote="SleepySandy"]What's the difference between the "Activa" technology on the Quattro and the current UMFF seal? I have never seen an Activa in person, so I don't have any idea what it's like.

I'm not looking for a debate snoredog. Internet arguing is a complete waste of my time. I find your comments very rude. That's too damn bad, I asked a very simple question. Now that I've seen your answers, I doubt you ever tried that mask. I asked a simple question after you compared its characteri...

Where does the bottom of the mask hit your face? I'm using a CF2 and the bottom rests against my bottom teeth (that sort of dip below your bottom lip / above your chin). This isn't going to work for me long-term because the pressure on my teeth isn't good for my teeth. I used the UMFF for a couple ...

I don't like nasal pillow masks either. I think the Resmed Activa is the best nasal mask. It looks uncomfortable but it's not. It has a lot of play in the cushion so if you move around, it's less likely to leak than other masks.

C-flex shouldn't affect the therapy. It is for comfort only. It decreases the pressure when you begin to exhale and is supposed to back up to full pressure by the time you inhale. Having said that, everyone is different. There is rarely an answer that applies to every user.

I'll tell you what a waste is. It isn't the data the machines provide, it's the many Respiratory Therapist that think they know everything. All they do is set the pressure to what the doctor says. They all have there opinions on which machine is best and which mask is best. They usually base those o...

Different machines use different algorithms. The M Series auto is flow based. When your flow rate decreases, it will raise the pressure to prevent an apnea. If an apnea does occur, it's really too late for the machine to do anything. Once the apnea event ends, it will raise the pressure to try and s...

Re: Mirage Quattro full face review

[quote="Vader"] According to the description, it reduces noise by 50%, and it has a new "Streamlined Design". It looks like it could be very interesting if it has a smaller profile than the Ultra Mirage Full Face. Looks like it may *almost* be a FF version of the Activa. Recently I had a very bad co...

Mirage Quattro full face review

There is a video of the mask at http://www.resmed.com so I won't go into the changes from the Ultra Mirage full face, just my experience with it. I've been using the Fisher & Paykel 432 full face which is a great mask. The Resmed rep wanted me to try the Quattro so he could get some feedback from a ...
