Re: Finally started trial
turn the knob, it adjusts the heat/humidity level Huh, I see how to change the humidity setting (and increasing humidity actually seems to have helped). But not how to change heat level. They are very quiet so this doesn't make sense. Thanks for that input. I see you have a System One, so you shoul...

So you must at least clean the water reservoir from time to time? What do you use for that?

Finally started trial
So I finally started my one-month free trial of CPAP equipment. For now, I'm using a Respironics System One and an AirFit P10 nasal pillow. I will get to purchase any equipment I like in the end, of course, but this is what I got for the loaner. The System One is unbelievably noisy. Whatever I was u...

Re: Another "advice please" thread
Thanks Robysue, Oky, Michelle. Robysue, that actually clears up one mystery. My prescription listed the headgear I used at my sleep test, but I couldn't read it. Now I know it was a Nuance nasal pillow, although they didn't specify the exact model. It sounds like the Airfit 10 and the Swift FX are t...

Re: "full data" machine - why??
Would I be able to get access, myself, to the data? As I understand it, machines communicate data either by writing to an SD card, or by "phoning home" via a cell modem. The latter is of no use to the general public, but with the SD card, you can copy the machine's data to your computer, and then v...

Re: Another "advice please" thread
Thanks a million for replying, Okie, ChunkyF and RobieSue. This is helpful advice.
So it sounds like the Elite is fine, but the AutoSet may be better.
If anyone has specific advice on nasal pillows (or other styles of mask) that they have had luck with as side or front sleepers, I'd love to hear it.

Another "advice please" thread
I (finally) got a prescription for a CPAP set-up. The prescription is specifically for: CPAP (not APAP, not BPAP) 7 cmH2O pressure In my sleep test, I used a nasal pillow, and found it comfortable. I also tried on a nose mask and found it ok too, although I preferred the nasal pillow. I had almost n...

Re: 5CQWCPB
This has been really helpful, thanks. I'm learning that most modern machines are reasonably quiet, and that the action will be in trying to find a mask that doesn't leak and that exhausts into the air, not my pillow. I do get a free trial, but there are so many choices, it's hard to narrow down to a...

Sheesh, that's my post above. Ignore the irrelevant subject line. Sorry.
