Re: Dreamwear headgear stretching issues
@Janknitz: Thank you for the info, but, unfortunately, I don't knit or sew. :( More importantly, I also spotted your link to the very helpful blog post on meeting your DME for the first time. Like so many others, I wished I'd read it years ago. I was left wondering, though, whether you were still bl...

Re: First Time to cpaptalk and questions on some readings
Thank you once again, Pugsy, for clarifying.
(But, honestly, if the main difference is an additional feature, which seems to have no connection to gender, could ResMed have thought up a stupider, less effective name than “for her”? )

Re: Airsense 10 FH and myAir - Thoughts
I don't like that they penalize you for mask-off events. Gamification should not involve waiting to pee because you don't want to blow your score by having too many mask-off events. This does not figure well for the fact that siesta is a common human thing, nor does it consider the normal 2am/3am w...

Re: First Time to cpaptalk and questions on some readings
My apologies if I’m slightly hijacking this thread, but I’ve always wondered but didn’t want to ask, what’s the difference between the “for her” and “not for her” AirSense?
[So as to keep this somewhat “clean,” let me be clear that I’m referring to ResMed’s intention. ]

Re: Cannot function daily life, please help!
So, OP goes from please help me, tell me your stories, and “cannot function...scared” on Tuesday night to...crickets?
Is she trying to demonstrate her point?
Anyway, I appreciated the info you provided.

Re: Concern Over Sleep Apnea and Coronavirus Transmission
Some common sense measures folks. Treat yourself like you have the virus....treat everyone else like they have the virus. People who are already sick we know to avoid and they already know they need to be restricted but they contaminated their household long before they started showing symptoms. Th...

Re: Chipmunk cheeks with full face mask
The bottom line is the doctors are educated and trained in a certain way and much like the people on this site they expect everyone is the same and one size fits all which is complete bullshit. One of the key rules of my EMT and CNA training was that there is no such thing as normal and my medical ...

Re: Chipmunk cheeks with full face mask
I’ve had multiple doctors tell me that my brain isn’t normal but seems to be quite extraordinary. I have nothing to contribute (which likely doesn’t matter if the OP has up and left), but I’m instead seeking clarification; did others understand the above to mean that multiple doctors have told him ...

Re: At what BMI does OSA disappear?
First and foremost, congratulations on your weight loss! As someone who hasn't been within 40 (okay, 50) pounds of what's probably my goal weight (185?) in 20+ years, your progress is very impressive, so continued success. That said, and not trying to be a downer, my advice is to just focus on the w...

Re: Help with OSCAR data | Low AHI but still exhausted
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but for some people, improved CPAP results don't inevitably lead to less exhaustion/more energy. I've been on CPAP, with full compliance (i.e., 7 nights/week, 6+ hours/night) for 25 years, but I'm still often drowsy during the day (so I'll nod off if sitting too l...

Re: ...using cpap in a USA train...
To the best of my memory, I used my cpap 5 years ago on the auto train without any problem. However, it might also depend on whether you booked a compartment or just a seat. By the way, I hope you’re not one of those overweight cpap users (like me). Space throughout the train is tight, including pri...

Re: New Mask Question
Bristolman, congrats on your ingenuity, but pardon a really simple question: is this intended to address mouth leak? So it’s basically replacing a wrap-around-the-head type of chinstrap? I’m really interested because that’s what the RT has had me using for the past couple months, i.e., both the F20 ...

Mask Leak Results
About a month ago, my RT switched me from a nasal mask (AirFit N20) to a full face mask (AirFit F30). I've been paying more attention than usual to the results, and over the past week my mask leaks have ranged from 0.0% on two nights, to 19.77% last night (with AHI of 1.05). Does anyone have any sug...

Re: Pugsy's Pointers...SleepyHead Tutorial and TX Hints
I'm just starting with SleepyHead (and generally pretty overwhelmed with all the info ), but, regardless, I just wanted to say THANKS to Pugsy for furnishing all these pointers and tutorials (which I'll hopefully be able to understand, at least at a basic level, some day).

Re: Newb's First SleepyHead Results
Back out from the zoomed in 1 minute segment so we can see all night long. There are some brief times in large leak but they are relatively short lived.....so are those leaks waking you up or not? If not...I wouldn't worry about them. As I said, I don’t know how to zoom in (or out). But to answer y...
