Hi Folks,
I'm new to all this and need a bid of help. I was recently diagnosed with Sleep apnea (quit breathing 150 times/hour, sat. 02 level in the 70's) and given a Phillips Remstar Auto A-flex machine with a cell phone modem where the sd card goes.
I want to be active and chart my progress. I'm getting no data from my doctor or my "therapy compliance department" of my insurance. Can anyone tell me how I can download the data from the machine to import into the SleepyHead program?
Thanks for your help. I've been learning quite a bit from this site.

Re: modem on Remstar Auto A-flex
You would need to take the SD card out of your machine, stick into your pc via a card reader, and then import into SH.
#1- Open SH
#2 - Click file - import
#3 - Select location to import from, usually my computer, and drive name of SD card (ex. E:)
#4 - Select ENTIRE drive, do not double click and select any of the directories.
#5 - Click Import, and you should have your data in SH.
Since there is a modem in front of the SD card, I'm not sure how to remove the card from your machine. Normally, you would just punch the card and it would come out easily. I'm sure someone on the forum can assist you with that step.
Also, if you would register and add your equipment to your profile, we can help you a little better.

Re: modem on Remstar Auto A-flex
You may need to wait until after the Compliance period is over. Then the modem will be removed.

Re: modem on Remstar Auto A-flex
The modem is easy to pop off an put back on. There may or may not be a SD card in the slot though. If there isn't a SD card just get a generic SD card as it doesn't have to be name brand.
If you can't figure out how to pop off the modem let me know and I will see if I can find the instructions.
Just pop it off...get the SD card..download to software..put it back in the machine put the modem back on...takes only a few minutes and no one will be the wiser.
If you have a 60 series machine you will need the patch file for SleepyHead.

If there is no SD card in the slot and you have to use a brand new one. Don't worry. The machine stores almost all of the data in its internal storage and it will write that stored data to the SD card. The only thing missing is flow rate data. The SD card has to be in the machine to get that piece of data but the other stuff is there. Not a huge deal.

Re: modem on Remstar Auto A-flex
I have had my Remstar Auto flex for 2 weeks, there is no data on the card it is still saying 100%, the problem is it comes from France, I have converted the language to English except the doctors are New Caledonian ( French/ English speaking) and they don't give you a lot of support and the machine was never set correctly (we think) the specialist will be back at some stage ( where I live which is in another country ) and I have know idea of how to understand the readings, like the other night when I ripped it off because I was suffocating in my sleep, so anyone out there that could assist I would be eternally grateful, I will be traveling to one of the outer islands in a couple of days no power means no machine either, Bugger
Re: modem on Remstar Auto A-flex
If you are getting the 100% from windows explorer doesn't mean there are not any files on the SD card. Click on the card and look again for files.Slam wrote:I have had my Remstar Auto flex for 2 weeks, there is no data on the card it is still saying 100%,
