Re: Pulse/Ox to the rescue.
Dear all,
Most of the time I find no correspondence between the data of APAP and Pulse Ox. Of course, the value and pattern of both are important, but, which is more important? Sorry, if you find it a dumb question.

Pulse oximeter and cpap data
Hi, all.
My AHI ranges between 1.0 and 2.0 since the last few months and SpO2 remains above 88%, mostly and my pulse data are satisfactory.
Now, if I have satisfactory SpO2 and pulse data, should I worry about my AHI (which I wanted to bring near 0.0)?

Hi,
If I instal this one and run simply over the old version, will not I lose my old data?

Re: OSA forgetfulness
I might qualify as one of the longest sufferers of forgetfulness. I have been going through the episodes since 1981 when I lost my sister for which I accuse this syndrome to be partly responsible. However, when I was 10-year-old, I had stood first in the district and second in my province in 4th sta...

Re: OXIMETRY - Interfacing the CMS50 with your CPAP Therapy
Make sure you check the results from various fingers. Most of the time there will be no difference but sometimes a little finger will read a little differently then a middle or index finger. You can check this while you are awake and not active. Just put the unit on your various fingers and compare...

Re: Intellipap user not snoring on machine
Hi, I'm confused what you're asking? If you're using CPAP you shouldn't be snoring at all I want to have the relevant info because it is given that the IntelliPAP algorithm uses snore as a precursor to determine required change (or no change) in therapy pressure. I would like to ascertain whether m...

Intellipap user not snoring on machine
Hi, every body.
May I know if there is any one using IntelliPAP Auto but not snoring while on machine?
I mean, except me.

Re: Sleep-breaks
Looks like you're turning the machine off and back on. Are you aware of doing this? Should not I turn the machine 'off' when I have to go to the wash-room or do a short chore? Hi, If you are going to the bathroom at night, that could be an indicator that your treatment is still not 100% effective. ...

Re: Why are there minimum and maximum setting on an APAP
My therapy pressure graph has remained a perfect straight line whether the range was at 3-15, 4-15, 5-15 or 6-15 cm. Only time it has shown a bit of excursion was when the minimum was at 7.0 cm but with distinctly higher AHI numbers. We know Devilbiss algorithm depends on snore as the precursor and...

Re: Sleep-breaks
- I would appreciate if you could specify the parameters you have wanted on sleep hygiene. Have you stopped or still taking that Ambien or some thing and what is your inference on that experiment? Sleep hygiene is not eating sweets after a certain time, going to be at the same time, enough hours of...

Turning the machine off when you get up is fine. If you can tolerate it, stop using the ramp function so you start at full ...

Re: Why are there minimum and maximum setting on an APAP
This subject prompts me to inform that my machine seems to be all set to make a record. It does not nudge from the minimum whatever be the range. The APAP works like a CPAP. Well, the machine tries to find the lowest pressure that will fix your apnea. If 7 cures you, be happy. You might even be abl...
