POLL, How many different meds do you take daily?
Just curious.. I read recently that TN had the highest per capita rate of prescriptions. I was in a drug store recently and was shocked when I looked at all the little bags of drugs stacked behind the counter ready for pick up. I asked a clerk how many scripts they dispensed a day and of course, she had no idea.... $$$$$$

Re: POLL, How many different meds do you take daily?
Twenty - twelve scripted meds, three supplements requested by my doctor/s, four supplements and one script for pain that I only take when needed.

Zero and I hope it stays that way.
For what it is worth, a relative lived until 93 in spite of smoking for several years. I am convinced one reason is this person didn't take prescription meds until the last few years of her life.
Again, the usual disclaimer as I have nothing to base this on as this is just my opinion. Obviously, your mileage will vary.

I only counted the eight prescription drugs, not the numerous supplements directed by the doctor.

Re: POLL, How many different meds do you take daily?
Just 1 multi vitamin a day... I add 1-2 vitamin C tablets when I have a cold.
Thats it.

Re: POLL, How many different meds do you take daily?
Interesting poll...... after seeing how MANY some on there take,
it makes me feel better. I guess about dozen or so is not so bad after-all.
INJECTABLES:
Diabetic, type-1 MDI routine, Low doses, not insulin resistant type-2
-1- Lantus, Basal insulin, 2x/day
-2- Humalog, bolus insulin 3x/day, unless I need extra for correction
-3- Copaxone, for my Multiple Sclerosis
PILLS:
-4- Coreg, (heart med)
-5- Norvasc (4 heart)
-6- Lisinoprill 40mg/2x/day double max dose, for HBP & kidney disease
-7- Thyroid 60mg 1x/day
-8- Amantadine (MS fatigue) 100mg 2x/day
-9- D3 5,000iu 1x/day (due to kidney disease)
-10- Omega-3 (OTC) docs orders)
-11- Flexeril (as needed)
-12- Dramamine or eqv as needed
Loved the birthday Card..... that was cute!
